I think there's actually evidence in the game that disproves the whole 8 inches thing. I know nintendo has said that he's 8 inches but information directly from the games should take priority. We can compare Kirby's size to objects in forgotten land (which is earth adjacent) and shiver star (which is earth) to see that he's taller than 8 inches. However, the most compelling piece of evidence is that Kirby interacts with Samus in dreamland 3. Samus is about 6 feet tall. Kirby is about half her height which would put him around 3 feet tall. I also want to add that Samus is on the main path and interacting with her is required for the true ending which means it's should be considered canon and not just a fun one off easter egg.

But really, any Kirby character can beat up any one, so we all lose, not just you. I shall list some examples: Bandana waddle Dee can crack planets as seen in megaton punch. Sectonia can teleport, so good luck even laying a finger on her before she uses her swords or magic on you. Taranza also has magic, so he would probably just electrocute you or hypnotise you and make you beat yourself up. Susie, has a gun. Necrodeus actually hurt Kirby, so you can imagine what he would do to you. I just don’t think you could kill Escargoon, he survived being turned into ash, so I don’t think you have much of a chance. I could go on, but I think you get the idea. Still though, this was a great video, and I enjoyed watching it! Keep up the good work chum, just make sure to do a bit more research next time!

You kind of write yourself into a corner when you give your player characters an infinitely powerful ally who could single-handedly end the conflict before it even begins, so now every time we want to write a story in our world we have to find a way to write him out for most of it if we want to have any semblance of tension in our plot. Sakurai’s answer every time has been to make the villain an equally stupidly powerful universe-exploding threat who kidnaps Hand off-screen. While it is very funny and thematically poignant for him to be the damsel in distress we have to rescue every game, I do hope future Smash games actually try something different and find more creative reasons as to why he can’t just turn the villain of the week into Swiss cheese, that way he can have a more active presence in the story.
