I loved Priyanka wedding for many reasons: Priyanka got married after 30, age 36 (In South Asian culture, yes India is in Asia read a map sometime, women get married in their 20s and if not they’re see as “old maids”) Priyanka defied cultural norms Priyanka married interracially, which again in south Asian society isn’t expected Priyanka was smiling and happy at her wedding and that again went against what is expected from a south Asian bride, they’re supposed to look sad because they’re leaving their parents house How happy the two families were, the Jonas family embraced her culture and it speaks to their good character

Well no offence but if you are privilidged ofcourse you can easily define cultural norms. Its a different story for women of a simple background that are still raised some what "traditionally" and with certain stereotypes and stigmas. I dont see how thats a great achievement. When you are of a certain status... you get to worry about less things Also how is it not expected when the majoirty of todays bollywood stars have english, etc parent or grandparent. Not to mention Indian isnt even a race. Darividan is. And all indians arent darividans some ARE already mixed. People say india is like a continent, not just for its size but because it has been racially diverse since forever With darividans, who are the only r ACTUAL racial minority to Caucasians, who tend to come from the northern regions, to blacks, who are a minority and you can even find indians who are mongoloid, sharing more genetics with south east asians but those are rare. India is one of the few nations that have always been racially diverse hence why it is also one of the most "racist nations"since there is always the idea of who and what is superior and what isnt but its also one of the reason why its one of the most cultural and ethnically diverse nations in Asia and the world

Omg!! Thank you for this guys. You guys are so amazing and you never degrade people, it's just such a breath of fresh air. Otherwise the jealous haters out there complaining that it was so extra, such hypocrites, these people woooohed and aahhhed watching Crazy Rich Asians and that SO extra wedding but have a problem when an ACTUAL crazy rich Asian does it. I just want to say it's her day she can be as extra as she wants to be and for the record Indian weddings ARE extra. We have much more people, much more ceremonies and way more fun. That's why we call it the "Typical Big Fat Indian Wedding". And trust me most girls will have a wedding like that if we had the money because we grew up dreaming of it.

I miss the days when people aspired to marry ONCE in their lifetime to the right person, through faith and walking with God. People now a days are so..... detached and so loveless. Marriage is just this thing that people “just do” only to “undue” it later. People marry with the hidden thought “in case this doesn’t work out” and they do prenups and all these other loveless things....

Well. I believe those days weren't all that. Most if those women couldn't leave. The origins of marriage is actually pretty sexist. Anyway, those women had to go through abuse and cheating husbands. And if they left , THEY would have been accused of breaking up the home. Shoot. That still happens today especially in religious unions. Trust me, many of those women and some if the men werw miserable.

If you seek a man of God, and actually control your hormones and try not having sex with everything that moves, you’ll find a man that you’ll know you can trust, a man that is Godly and faithful. Most women today believe in “the monkey bar” style of dating, where they hop from one dude to the next, and have sex with all these men, and by the time the right one comes along, they’re too damaged spiritually from all the men they’ve had sex with. You see, sex isn’t just a physical act; when you have sex, you are binding your self to that person spiritually, which is why a lot of women find the right man, but end up ruining it, because they didn’t wait, same goes for the men, they go around hoping from girl to girl, and once they actually find the right girl, they’re too damaged by all the people they did it with. If people weren’t so slutty in 2018 -and yes, I said slutty, sue me!, if people actually waited and tried keeping their parts to them selves; there wouldn’t be so many damaged adults. There also wouldn’t be so many failure of relationships going around
