I think the US has to do better with mental health services first. Because a week off is not gonna do any good to someone with Depression or Anxiety if they aren't receiving treatment. They're just gonna be sitting at home letting time fly by because they're too busy focusing on their problems. Then when they come back to work, THEY'RE STILL gonna have that anxiety/depression.

I actually live in China and this concept is not a new idea. One of the coffee shops I used to frequent decided to close for 2 weeks because they wanted their female workers to find potential mates. I was more upset that I couldn't get my latte over the fact they are trying alternatives for women to find husbands. This "leftover women" spills over from the prior generation but the expectations are different. You're expected to not date through high school or college but as soon as you graduate you should be married within months. That's why the leftover market in Shanghai is HUGE. With parents providing resumes of their daughters that breakdown their careers to their body measurements. I cant understand it because I am looking from a Western perspective, but at the same time it's the same reason why I can't necessarily put it down.

Am I the only one who doesn't think this is a bad idea. They're trying to help their single ladies out. Also take in to consideration cultural differences. In some cultures women are still looked at a certain way is their not married by a certain age (not saying this is right). Also the number of single women far outnumber the single men. Plus having some extra time for a hard working person never hurts. Whether it will help the women get a man or not is still to be determined.

I personally think that if you are desperate as a single person, being in couple is not the solution. You need to be a complete individual first before getting involved in a relationship with someone. I don't want to be mean but when I see someone waiting for a partner as if he/she is waiting for God's salvation, I think that this person is pathetic. It will make some potential partners run away.

I’m 21 and sometimes my mothers say “when you get married....” “when you have kids....” Why? Why marriage and kids? It’s funny cuz those are two things I honestly don’t care about. After all, you gotta work on yourself first before anything else.

State your truth, Loni Love. That is why I think you are such a great representative of a strong woman over 45.

There was a whole kdrama about this issue of “unsuccessful” single women in the workforce and it was honestly so odd to me!

Loni is a lying. Not the same type of joy. That’s why she cries every time she talks about him. For me that screams “I’ve been waiting for this for a very long time!”

Nan I think the hosts did not see this in the right angle,I think this is the same for all countries but in my country for example as womrn we have been struggling for so long to have the same jobs as other men that we had to work twice as hard which didn't hive us enough time to have a social life.I can remember the number of time I was at work till past midnight.This is a way to cater to us and help us have a balance but like Adrienne said the men should get days off to so we will not only end up with unemployed men 🤣

Ever considered that this could have been a response to an employee survey. I did not read the article but i would have appreciated a bit more diversified opinion because there could be women that actually wants this. My take on this is, if you are single by choice at 30 i dont see how 8 extra days off from work will motivate me to change that status.

Please correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't the one-child policy abolished in 2015 or something?

Kayla Rose Bates the fact that it took even that long is still very much crazy to me... that's still real recent and can still has some effect on this
@kaylarosebates99665 жыл бұрын
@@MajesticMyronn Agreed. I've been taught a little bit of this policy and the effects of it are sad and terrible. Especially with the aging population. It's a whole ordeal and it's just sad.

yeah so all the kids from the end of the policy are 4 lol that doesn't"t affect a grown adult wanting to date.

I mean, they did this in response to their own cultural norms. Maybe this is something that works for THEIR society. I'm not gonna lie, there are times when I want to secure a hair or nail appointment for a last-minute event and there are no evening and weekend appointments available, but plenty during the day. I'm assuming this policy also includes preparation for dates? In which case, I wouldn't mind taking a paid day off to beautify myself. Why would any woman complain about this?
@pressplay71145 жыл бұрын
