I now have the car that I was brought home from the hospital in, and that my father bought new in 1970. It is an all original 1970 LT-1 Corvette coupe, that has gone through NCRS BowTie and got a top flight. I grew up with this car, and it has been street raced, autocrossed, driven as a daily driver, been the family transportation, hunting vehicle, etc. When dad went into memory care due to alzhiemers I became the caretaker of it. Dad used to go hunting in MN before work, and did it with this car. Back in the 90s went dove hunting with him, and two other friends. Dad with the LT-1, andother friend with his 79 Corvette, with a close family friend in his 70 big block vette (which I also own). After the hunting was done the next day we went to a chili cook off/car show in San Marcos, TX and the shotguns were behind the cars. There is no way you could do that today. I took it through NCRS top flight judging and recieved that award. We did NCRS BowTie where it got all 5 stars (one star for each paint, chassis, drivetrain, interior and displaying a certain number of times). We did the Bloomington Gold Survivor several years ago and then in 2016 did the Original Owners display. I have lots of memories with this car and it will NEVER be sold. I currently have 5 Corvette's of those three run and two are projects. Every time I drive this LT-1 I feel dad with me and it is that connection that brings a smile to me. I just wish that he could still be here especially with all his faculties the way they were. So this car brings me great joy and memories, and it is so original that I have three of the original 5 tires for the car. The exhaust pips/mufflers, brake calipers, and antenna have been replaced otherwise it is the way that it was delivered.

GTX is my go to. I’m High School I had 1970 , 440pistol grip, Dana 410 , I would drive it until I blowed the motor then I would save up $150.00 and would buy a used motor and throw it in. Lots of automatics with their transmission shot. Those big motors made the power. Was my all time favorite car. Enough room in back to sleep. Just fun loud and nasty , king of the interstate cruisers ! Love it way to go , I wish I had my old car , that Air Grabber ect it as loaded up. Fun until the Police see you. Your going to get pulled over for a look. Keep Smiling

A man had a 69 GTX Convertible for sale for $3 500 back in 77 in South Houston Texas. I already owned 4 speed B5 Blue Superbird, A 70 Go mango 4 speed challenger R/T with 410 gears , orange factory Leather interior. ,Also a 70 R/T Hemi Orange 6 pack 4 speed. It came from Wichita Falls Texas AFB. Was used only to pull the original owners early Hemi cars to the drag strip.Bought it from my Brother Steve Cook when he got stationed in Germany. He also owned a 69 GTX, 440 commando automatic. Would smoke a set of tire trad off in 2 passes
