I think the main Switch 2 gimmick is going to be internet of things esque interconnectivity between devices! The Switch 2 will be able to connect with the Alarmo, your phone, and hopefully a Nintendo smart watch with streetpass 2 functionality! Just think about it, Nintendo's big thing is dated tech, and internet of things was a huge trend AGES ago, perfect for Nintendo today

Before I continue watching, here's my crazier additional theory: The switch can be used as a keyboard and mouse as the kickstand allows the screen to go lower; almost like a keyboard and mouse setup, with the joycon mouse and touchscreen kb? To show gameplay you could press the C button; possibly to connect to a monitor similar to the Wii U gamepad and TV, where the main switch runs games (the C button was thought to be for chats though)

3DS COVER PLATES MENTIONED Yeah they're really cool! Unfortunately super expensive but they're a fun thing to put on your 3DS! They're a guilty pleasure of mine, my favorite ones have got to be the mario hanafuda ones or the glow in the dark boo ones. The BEST PART was that most of them had matching themes you could get on the 3DS's theme shop which was super cool

The U shaped kickstand is most definitely just an easy way for the back plate of the console to have a larger logo print. Switch OLED's back panel was split in half by the kickstand so the logo was very small! The U shaped kickstand leaves more room on the body of the console.

So, I had this idea the other day. Since (at least for now) it seems the Switch 2 will not have a second screen like the Wii U, perhaps using the joycon as a mouse could be a way to use the stylus on DS Switch Online when the Switch is in Docked mode. A bit of a long shot, but maybe possible (they'd still have to do something for a microphone, though)

I think the new shape is just to make more space inside the console. If the kickstand was like the OLED model, you lose room to fit all the internals. If you make the kickstand too small like the original switch, it’s not stable. The new design just seems like a good solution to have a sturdy kickstand without losing too much real estate internally.

Using the joy con as a mouse seems cool but my first thought was that it seemed kinda uncomfortable because of how skinny it is compared to a real mouse. Maybe the switch 2 joy cons being bigger would make it more comfortable

Tbh the mouse would be useful for first person games like portal. You were able to use a mouse on game builder garage and it made it much easier, so I think having a mouse as like a gimmick is not a bad idea

Some constructive criticism for you Madz: In my oppinion you need to out more focus on the video playing in the background and less on your character and the studio because with these simple animations they are to stale. At the same time because of thr size of the screen of the video and because of the filters on it I always only concentrate on you and your studio, which again gets boring really fast and makes me leave your video.
