Watching and listening to all of you with the snow reminded me of one year my wife and I went to Florida Just before Christmas my wife and I and an other couple that we met they were from Minnesota decided to go for a ride on the water taxi it was about 65 degrees the guy running the taxi had a winter jacket and a balaclava on and shivered every time he looked at the 4 of us in jeans and a tie shirt he was adamant that we get our jackets because it was so cold we got our jackets and went for a ride around the inter coastal are never needing our jackets good times.

Yep good call sending everyone home. It doesn't take long for the roads to become slick. I live in southern Michigan but I wasn't laughing at you about the weather. You guys are not used to the snow. The weather has been crazy all over. We haven't had much snow here in my area, a couple inches here or there but that's it. Aw puppies are so cute!!! Hope everyone enjoyed their snow days!! I'm up in NEPA. To be honest, I do giggle a little when southern folks get excited about snow. I understand that you guys don't get the amount of snow like we do. Having said that, I also understand you don't have the equipment like we do to handle winter precipitation. Most importantly, stay safe out there. If you aren't used to driving in this stuff, stay off the roads. If the roads aren't properly treated, it can get ugly real quick. Stay safe out there Ryan!

We got close to 8 inches of snow and Ice here in NE Tx from that squaw line that came through. Parts of the Panhandle got over 10 inches. Glad ya shut things down when ya did cause yall was fixing to get the blunt force of it. My brother lives there in Cartersville Ga. and he said that they had complete white out conditions so I can only imagine what yall had. We still have snow on the ground with freezing temps, their saying that we want get back above freezing until either mid week or later.

When i lived in Fargo ND it would take 10 to 12 inches of snow to start to slow things down and schools would still be open. We had 1 inch of snow here in central Alabama and everything came to a screeching halt.
