She plays and combines the tones of modern instruments also traditional musical instruments, even though the tonal principles of these two instruments are actually different type, The keyboard uses Diatonic tones while Gamelan [Gambang] uses Pentatonic tones. That's really difficult thing in a song arrangement, all I can say is she does brilliant and talented musician skills, absolutely fantastic.

I like that comment.. Traditionally you would need eyesight to do this. Obviously Putri doesn't do things the traditional way... or let normal barriers stop her from doing what she wants. She's AMAZING!! This kind of music isn't to my personal taste but I can appreciate the difficulty of what she's doing... also her musical style is very eclectic.

I am happy to see you are better and I can see the light in your eyes for music. Just to share the background of this song (I learned it from another KZbinr) this is a song from Indonesia by a group called Weird Genius. I think the girl Sarah Fajira is the original singer of Weird Genius. I searched it in KZbin and yes the song is interesting and after that I understood why Putria uses all these different instruments. I like the easy way you have for your comments. I imagine Putri sing this song with ornamen javanese gamelan to the live show on AGT semifinal. Opening by rebab, flute, balungan then kendang. Putri coud play piano after gamelan show few second n the performance ending by gamelan complete version. That would be great.

That arr combine with Traditional Instrument from Bali, Jawa & Sunda. Putri is from Jawa (Yogyakarta) had an instrument traditional called GAMELAN.. you can search about gamelan Yogyakarta.

Lathi in Javanese means tonuge, the foreign Indonesian music is produced from Javanese musical instruments called gamelan. One of the instrument can b seen on the vid, smthg like xylophone. The Javanese part says smthg like "u can't run away from ur mistakes, coz a man's honor is on his tongue"

nice... lathi is another Indonesian song that i think quite a success in international landscape. i think u should to see the original lathi 1st than see how putri cover the song. she put another flavour to the song itself. nb: lathi has a quite depth meaning ... just saying. ... also if u find the "uncommon" language /lyric ...its becoz it come from native language of java.
