This is our first ATV/UTV overnight camping away from home. This is our last gear test/shakedown before our big trip on the Caribou Loop in a few weeks. Just make sure we have everything, everything works, and everything fits.

Great trip. And I want to personally thank you guys for going commercial free, much more enjoyable to watch! Thank you

Thank You ! We made the decision not to monetize our videos yet. Too many people monetize as soon as they are eligible, but most people (us included) don't make videos worth forcing people to watch commercials for. One day we will, but we are no where near that point yet. Right now we make these videos for our enjoyment and yours, not for making money. 👍

We're hoping to do several short weekend camping trips like this one this year. Still waiting for all of the snow in the mountains to melt, but we're getting there. 👍

Just want to say, it's nice to see people clean up the outdoors. Even though people should be able to clean up after themselves. Thank you!

Thank you for cleaning up. Some people are straight up slobs. It makes me so mad to roll up to a garbage mess in camp. I always leave it better than I find it. Thanks again and great job on the video.

Your video production quality and editing has gone to a new level, nice story telling too. The coffee montage was ‘epic’, and I have to try that campfire dinner. Keep up the great work.

first time Sub here.... couple things I saw in this vid 1. yes, hate.. hate people ruining nature with their garbage, thank you for cleaning up after them and making the spot great again. 2. Love seeing the Personal Carry, in Montana, we carry during camping as well.... you NEVER know, normally a shot in the air scares but.... 3. you peaked my interest at the dinner you were making (start at 10:11).. have never seen that.. thats alot of food... I like how you roll. 4. solo cup, thats a party... very cool, yes fat tire.... gross. 5. Epic music during the coffee scene 6. I'll shut up now....... great Vid....

Thanks ! The River noise kind of screwed up all of our camp audio, so I had to make due with what I had, so I had a little fun with it. Note to self, when filming near a River, you need to mic up 🤣 We are really looking foreword to the Caribou loop. Should be fun. We will try to do it justice. 👍

Nice video. The foil dinners are a simple thing but so tasty. Me and my sons did them a lot when we all went camping and they always made their own. Is the site you camped a place you book or just a first come first serve kind of thing? I was wondering what the belt JR was wearing until the end when I could see it was a gun in a holster. I`m not anti-gun trust me but being in Canada it didn`t even occur to me that`s what it was LOL.
@MyATVlife3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it’s a holster 😂 These spots are mostly reservations, but if it’s empty you can just take it (if it’s not reserved). We got lucky. The people that had reserved it, did it for the night before and had just left, so we could just pay and move in. I’ve been surprised at how many people have commented that they’d never seen the tin foil dinner before. It was a staple for camping when I grew up. Easy to make, and easy to cook 👍 Thanks for hanging out with us

You must sometimes ask yourself, Is it wort all the time we put into creating these videos and sharing our adventures with others. I share your adventures with family and friends, it gives us ideas on where to go and make our own memories, which are priceless. Your efforts are very much appreciated, THANK YOU. I would like to brand my Maverick with your My ATV Life stickers if they are available for order.
@MyATVlife2 жыл бұрын
I ask myself that question all the time. Comments like yours always makes it worth it. We really make these videos for two main reasons. One is just to make memories for us and those who ride with us to look back on. The other is to show people what these areas look like. I know when I've gone some place new I like to look up all the information I can on the area, and one place I look is on KZbin. I like to see what these places look like so I know what to expect. Videos like these helped me in the beginning, so we just want to pay it foreword as others have done. Plus we do enjoy it. We're happy to do it. We don't push ourselves to the point where it feels like "work". We have to remind ourselves that this is suppose to be fun, so we don't push ourselves to produce a ton of content. We just do what we can when we can. Thank you so much for your kind words. It really does mean a lot to us that you watch and share our content with friends and family. It really does help us to stay motivated, and lets us know that it really does make a difference. We appreciate that, we really do. As for stickers, I'm sorry but I don't really have any. I hadn't really thought about selling them, but maybe we may get to that point some day. I just have a local shop make them as I need them, so I don't really have any extras. Im sorry. Maybe it's time to start my "merchandizing" part of our journey 👍 I appreciate the ask. Next time I have some made I'll have a few extras printed up.
Expect to see more trash ever since covid more trash people leaving more trash for others to clean up seeing it in all the so cal. Deserts now pack it in pack it out sorry for venting keep making videos they are awesome take care.

Where was this ride/trail? I live in Brigham City.

@@MyATVlife That what I was thinking. We stay at Beaver Ski resort for a week and ride all over from there. Avoid trail FR304 to Fish Have, lots of boulders and a switch back that caused us to tip over. It’s a 50” trail and needs some work.

How does the electronic hill decent control work compared to engine braking on my outlander. I need a good hold back on down hill decent. I like the machine but have not rode it or have Any experience with electronic hill decent
@MyATVlife3 жыл бұрын
Engine braking is excellent. Seems to be very "linear" in that is doesn't just bang on and off, it comes on smoothly and builds up to strong. I'm not explaining it well, but on my Sportsman if you move the throttle even one millimeter the engine goes from accelerating to engine braking harshly and instantly. The MT does not do that. Smooth engagement and holds very well. I've been down some very steep hills in low gear with only the engine braking holding me back. Big fan of it.

@@MyATVlife Awesome. Thanks for the response . I have a outlander max xt and want something a little more comfortable and not so big. So we can ride the smaller trails. The Atv is awesome but gets tired after 30-40 mile ride sometimes. I really like the thought of 50 inch size. Just hope it is stable
@MyATVlife3 жыл бұрын
We came from ATVs to the Maverick Trail, and it was hard to get used to being strapped into something. With the ATV you can add some "body English", lean uphill or whatever to help keep the machine planted. There is no doing that with a SXS. At first whenever the machine would lean over we would kind of hold our breath, then all was fine. Every time the machine would lean a little farther we would hold our breath. After a while you learn to trust it. I've had it in some pretty sketchy situations and it's never gone over. As long as you stay within the limits of what the machine is designed to do it's very stable.
