So many people that i know, think all of this is ridiculous...IT'S NOT...this is a HOBBY and these dolls are ARTWORK...there are several different hobbies...collecting and building model ships, sports team collections, etc. This is the hobby of collecting REBORN DOLLS. I love it and I appreciate like minded COLLECTORS.

I think that this is a awesome idea but don't leave the baby in a car seat and wLk into a store because when you come back to your car especially on a hot day because just might find cops there and a broken window that they broke just because they thought it was a real baby that was left in the car. I think it's adorable though especially for little kids so they can have fun and its like almost having a new baby in the house and you can teach them what not to do and how important it is to be careful with a new born when its time to have a real baby at home if you should decide to have a baby in your home. Great idea to the person who invented this.

I have a vinyl reborn. The Levi sculpt I named Edmund. I got him after I lost my son in pregnancy, the snuggles and the weighted feel in my arms makes my arms feel not so empty. I started making reborns myself for other grieving parents as well as nursing homes for dementia and alzheimers patients who respond very well to what I call "baby therapy". I like to think Ezras passing now has lead me to a direction of purpose to help others. You might think it's "morbid" or weird but you know what? That's fine not everyone likes this art. But don't knock it down for those it has helped.

It is very comforting as a woman who can't have children and my new husband wants one we are patiently waiting for a set of twins reborn babies and are getting ready just like ready like a real pregnancy

I love that they take time as a family to treat these dolls like real babies because that’s honestly really good experience for their children without causing any risk to a real human baby. A lot of young girls, and some young boys one too take care of a baby or pretend that they’re baby doll was a real baby and especially ones that have younger siblings that see mom changing diapers and feeding the baby and feeding the baby they want to be able to do the same and in this case, they’re getting experience with a doll that is very realistic to what a real baby would be. A lot of times these dolls are weeded to be very similar to the weight of a newborn, and they feel like real babies. So this is about as close as you can get to a real baby without it being a real baby.

I got an amazing deal on a partial silicone off bountiful baby , but she isn’t painted :/. I figured I could have her painted at a later date but HOLY CRAP is crazy expensive to have the partials painted! I am in absolute love with the way my baby feels though. She is incredible and I am happy with her unpainted anyway! Check into making a partial silicone! You willl love it!!

If your wanting a reborn I personally don't suggest etsy. The doll I got was 200 dollars and she can barely move she's not very flexible which isn't necessarily a problem I just don't suggest buying off etsy I feel it'd be better to go to a better place.
