I have been following everything I can read or watch on this case. From what I have learned so far you are right on the money!! She was done and he was having none of her allegations in divorce court. After your reading my hunch is that he was possibly embezzling funds from the church and Mica was in the know. She had finally recognized his abuse for exactly what it was and he couldn't have the facts of his abusive behavior floating around the congregation. From the start his M.O. struck me as a person who would not get his hands dirty so it makes sense that he would be creating an alibi while he put someone else up to the murder. I think you confirmed that. Nobody committing suicide shoots him/her self in the BACK of the head. And most women don't use a gun to commit suicide. Her name is pronounced with a long "i" by the way. This case is very validating but also incredibly triggering to me as a survivor of dv myself from my former husband. He hid could have been my story. I must say, I am so proud how outraged people are and how intelligent they are to see through his tactics. So happy Mica is being defended. These abusers all do the same things. Mine denied everything too and out on a big public appearance and also moved in with a girlfriend right away. He also tried to say I had mental illness. I have been in intensive therapy for a few years now to recover from what he did to me. I was not diagnosed with anything and am mentally well other than the ptsd he caused me directly. Ok at 45:30 here was my thought,...if he was her 'senior' and she was only 14 in his youth group, it could that he was not a minor and the two had a physical relationship that was in appropriate? 14 years her senior means he was 28 and she was 14 UTTT OHHHHH maybe that's the SECRET! This would for sure be something that he wants to stay covered up OMGGGGG no way!!! This marriage sounds like, for him at least, was a way to make him look good the whole time and that's it. Ashley you are amazing! At 41:26 you picked up on family...oddly it has been reported that the pastor's dad was involved in a lot of criminal activity. I think your reading was 100% on target. There has got to be a big secret he doesn't want anyone to know. During your reading when the embezzlement card came out, I admit I thought of him, as the pastor, knowing about someone embezzling money from the church and he made that go away, so that person owes him now to do whatever he wants. As far as the electronic timestamp so he has an alibi, I think he created that and for it to happen as part of his plan. I really don't think there's any coincidence that she was unalived after being given divorce papers. And paying or getting someone to do his dirty work would, for now, keep him from the scene of the crime. Hopefully LE sees right through his plan.

From what her father is saying, he was truly sick and perverted. My opinion she was blackmailed to me who ever took her life. She knew of the embezzlement of church funds. She had proof and he did not want her to out him. The person that did it, could have left through the woods back to the river and go to another boat landing. He knew she would want to protect her and her family and she was going to give it to him to be free of him. That is why she bought the weapon for protection. Her call to 911 showed her voice was calm and even. I do not doubt she was being abused, or had been, but I think it is clear she did it, that is, killed, herself. How could her voice be that calm if there was somebody with her? She called 911 to tell them she was going to kill herself, those were her precise words, and that she did. He probably made her sick in the head, with all the abuse, but she pulled the trigger. That is what is clear to me from her call. I hope she is getting help in the spiritual realm.
