I own a 2023 Hatch, bought it brand-new. It's the BEST car I've EVER owned! I didn't know it was possible to love a car this much. It's impossible not to smile every time I see it or drive it. Two of my buddies have 3 Hatch's too (2017 and 2019), and they're crazy about them as well. Mazda is killing it! They're extremely reliable too, none of us have ever had a single issue besides general maintenance, with one of my friends having 130,000 miles on his 2017. We love our Mazda's!

I have a 2018 hatch touring and have only ever needed tp do oil changes and basic tire rotation 😂 it is the most reliable car I've ever owned and most comfortable. Top quality and I'd rather have this than pay for some luxury brand that charges premium prices.

Awesome! I have a 17.5 mazda 6 gt and I really like it! It's my first mazda and I'm glad I bought it. So far I've added racing best exhaust, a corksport strut brace, a CS carbon fiber engine cover, AWR Racing urethane mounts all 3, rotiform rims and continental dws06 tires and an mv tuning rear diffuser and ceramic tinted all windows. Have springs and struts for it and a complete CS exhaust kit and a rear sway bar for it.

The screen was not designed and not meant to be a touchscreen in the first place, so it was placed far ahead for better viewing and the mazda control buttons works better than touch. It’s the people who complained and they make it touch screen. Touching the screen requires eyes off the road to see where you touch so it’s unsafe.

Couldn’t agree more. The “touchscreen” is cognitively more distracting. (The fact that you also have to raise your arm UP and WAY OUT to touch a single tiny spot on the screen in a moving, jittery vehicle is laughable. Mazda’s Controller Knob makes so much more sense.) Some people now define their entire existence - both day & night - by continually interacting with their iPhone, seemingly at least once every 2 or 3 minutes. Yes, they are iPhone-addicted. Sadly, those are the folks who complain about the lack of a “proper touchscreen”. Show me someone who complains about Mazda’s touchscreen philosophy and I’ll show you a smartphone addict. I, for one, applaud Mazda’s resistance to the world’s “smartphone/touchscreen” takeover.

@@Saboda53 100%. My car has a touch screen that is mid dash and a distraction to use, requiring me to look completely away from the road. I have capable controls on the steering wheel I don't even need to look at for most functions. Touch screen input should be disabled when the car is in motion. I think some cars do that already or partially at least.

One of the many things I love about my 2016 Mazda3 is that I can my keep my arm comfortably on the armrest and control the infotainment with the rotary knob. I never have to reach up to fiddle with the screen or get fingerprints on it. I literally have never touched the screen in 7 years of owning it except to clean/dust it.

2024 Premium Plus Turbo hatch with the white mica paint and it’s a superb car! I had a 2021 select hatch before this and I have no regrets on this purchase. By far the best car I’ve ever owned. Only thing I wish I had was the turbo model (didn’t exist at the time), trajectory parking with the 360 camera, and wireless CarPlay. Will be curious to see if they bring some form of electrification to the model, that’s probably when I’ll upgrade.

I am actually going against the grain here 😅- As an owner of a 2016 CX-9 and a 2016 Mazda 3 (both are previous gen), I am disappointed by this. The interior and amenities of this MY/trim is nice......for 2016. The omission of a power passenger seat, the lack of a digital dashboard, and zero rear seat charging ports/vents is head-scratching. I know Mazda's mantra is all about driver engagement and stirring emotion (at a competitive price) but these things *should* be standard in a top trim with an asking price of $38k. One of the worst (if not the worst) part of this is the 6-speed automatic. It was prehistoric back in 2016 and it is almost unforgiveable today. The only allowable 6-speed transmission should be of the gated variety. It's hard to voice that opinion as I am very partial to Mazda. I love their continued focus on driving dynamics and established reliability but it's disappointing to see old tech and a disconnect on what should be baseline amenities (specifically for $38k top trim). The CX-90 is fantastic but some of that goodies needs to trickle down asap.

Honestly a lot of the critiques about the powertrain can be fixed with the Skyactiv-X they have available in other markets I think. It's vastly more efficient and it's electrified and while less powerful than the turbo, I think it could compare favorably against the 2.5L and against competition.

First, I must admit that I like Mazda products especially since 2010 having had 3 Mazda6 (2010 GS manual, 2012 GT, 2018 GS-L 2.5 turbo) and a 2019 Mazda3 GS sedan manual. My wife also had several Mazdas (CX-7 GX FWD, CX-5 GX FWD, CX3 GS AWD and Mazda3 GS). So, I just purchased a 2024 Mazda3 Sport GT 6 spd manual (35000$ CAN) after trying the 2023 Nissan Sentra SR manual (lower power and finish), 2023 Civic Hatchback SPORT TOURING Manual (more expensive for price and insurance). On the other hand, if space is an important criterion for you, I must admit that the Honda Civic Hatchback offers more space for the rear seats and cargo space. 🙂 (Canada)

At around 35k, would you get the Elantra N or pay a little more and get a WRX over this? I love the Mazda 3, had one on a long road trip and was impressed, but my buddies 2023 WRX limited trim was just as comfortable and a little quicker

@@krane15very true. At about 40k, and since it now has 300 HP standard, I'd go a little up market and get a G70, which also has a 2.5t. I've still seen some 2022 "new" Stingers in my area for about 38k. That would be my choice if I could find one.

The Mazda 3 turbo and wrx limited have pretty similar acceleration numbers. I have a 2021 Mazda 3 turbo sedan and test drove the 2024 wrx but with the cvt and preferred the Mazda still. The Elantra N is fun as hell tho

@@Zbone09Had a CX 30 turbo as a rental last week, and I know that's a CUV, but I get what you're saying. I like the WRX, but after about a day I got used to Mazda's infotainment and preferred the 6 SPD auto over the CVt of the WRX. I drove a 22 WRX for about a month while my buddy was out of town. Fun car, but Subaru's infotainment interface was annoying and the CVT was okay, but not as smooth as Mazda's 6 SPD auto

Definitely due for a redesign I don’t think they need to completely go back to the drawing board but they need to address that c-pillar. Blind spot and makes it seem cavelike. Otherwise the car is near perfect.

seems like being a top trim they could offer more features, maybe they do im not sure but, in this car, no remote start? no keyless unlock? also that screen is disapointing still. i get they're being minimalist and it's nice but it should be more towards the driver like he said, and maybe taller as well. It just seeems that competitors are giving you much more appealing screens while this one still seems like a landscape orientation phone is on your dash. same with the gauge cluster, it really should be fully digital at this point with much more customization. not to mention the lack of rear comfort and options for the passnegers. this seems overpriced given what it comes with
