Listen, im in an engineering field so I know I may have a different mindset. The thing is that '4 bangers' are not quite what you think. In 2025 there have been some impressive improvements and 4cs have substantially increased efficiency, power, and longevity. The primary loss are features such as sound and feel of a 6 or 8 cylinder. However I would try to consider that there are 4 cylinders that are much more powerful in hp and torque than even their 6c counterparts, while having much better fuel efficiency.

Infinity making bad choices once again. The 2.0 L is too small but displacement for that big vehicle. They should’ve invested money into a hybrid system with the V6. or redo their 2.5 L four-cylinder and convert that to a turbo system. Also, they could easily make a sport version since infinity used to be the sportier option compared to Lexus. Putting the 3 L twin turbo in the QX 60 would’ve been an amazing sport three row SUV. They often forget that they’re competing against Acura and Lexus, and they always make bad decisions and come up short resulting in poor sales.

In the early 2000s, Nissan implemented their Revival plan and part of it was for Infiniti to set their sights on BMW. That is when they came up with the G35/G37. Although not perfect, the G35 did give the BMW 3 Series a good run for their money. It stole quite a few sales away from the German brand, and it did well for about a decade. Somewhere along the way, Infiniti lost their way and their identity got lost. I suspect Nissan’s introduction of their dreaded CVTs into some Infiniti models had something to do with it… Now, who knows how much longer it will last. It’s a shame because Nissan had a good thing going there for a while. I once owned a 2008 G35 sedan. I loved that car!

Lexus GX for instance started out with a 4... people complained and the V6 was added... well Lexus is a vehicle purchased more so than Infiniti ....LOL
