@@wendygarcia76 I understand, but I think what you’re describing is categorically different, so it doesn’t apply to their claim in the video. Jeremiah writing a prophecy in Scripture and being inaccurate naturally leads to a denial of inerrancy.

Guys, Pay attention to two obscure statements that open everything up from Ecclesiastes 1:9-11/3:14-15). These are putting scriptures that speak to things ahead into perspective. Like they (circumstances and people) are, and yet are not, or are not yet, but the cycle of reoccurrence is coming. These are Like master keys that helps us to see when things don't come to pass....wait for it and it shall come like Isaiah 46:10 or 48:3. What I'm saying is that things that can be considered a miss may actually be coming in a cycle that history purposely repeats itself via types and shadows in a pattern protracted over time.

They’re incredibly dishonest and they need to repent. They’re false prophets and they don’t know how to properly test the spirits. The only prophecies that don’t come to pass are called “conditional prophecies”, and the prophecies these men have failed on do not have conditions applied or Biblical symbolism attached. They’re purposely being dishonest about these facts to keep their high seats intact rather than seeking repentance. Remind me what Jesus cursed the Pharisees for doing? Jesus said the seat of Moses is a responsibility, not a personal place of esteem. Do you notice how these men claim they have the gifts? What did the actual apostles always say? They claimed they had no power and that it was the gift of the Holy Ghost and the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Pride in the power is a sure sign of a false prophet. Paul didn’t even operate in the power of the Holy Spirit on a consistent basis in terms of miracles. These guys act like it’s normal to do this all the time, it’s actually not. Matthew 7:21-23 and 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 will be these men’s worst nightmares unless they repent before they die. Now, that’s a prophecy you can count on! I pray for you to read scripture and seek spiritual discernment directly from the Father in Heaven. Only he can send you the Holy Ghost to see through these false teachers. GOD Bless! ❤️

No one can teach a person to prophesy. That’s not how it works. Please read your Bible and trust in GOD rather than these false teachers. True Prophets never miss unconditional prophecies. The only prophecies in the entire Bible that don’t come to pass have conditions attached and if the conditions are met for the prophecy to be unfulfilled, that’s the only time it happens. The best example is Jonah going to Nineveh to prophesy their destruction “unless they repent”… now why did Jonah not want to go to Nineveh? Do you remember? He knew they’d repent if he told them this prophecy, and Jonah wanted them destroyed! GOD however wanted to see Nineveh repent rather than be destroyed. GOD loves those who are willing to repent and often gives conditional prophecy specifically so people who hear of the consequences learn to obey GOD when given a chance to repent. These men are talking to familiar spirits to get their information, you don’t want to learn what they are doing or how to do it. Out of curiosity, why would you believe GOD would bestow you with power in his name if you’re not getting your information from the Bible? GOD only honors people in this way who love and study his word. Don’t look for shortcuts, love and honor GOD regardless of whether or not he bestows spiritual gifts on you. That’s actually the most likely way you will receive these gifts. I’m very fearful that by listening to these men and trying to seek gifts rather than GOD’s pure unadulterated word you’ve allowed false spirits into your life. Be careful and put on the armor of GOD! I’ll pray for you now! These men are in severe danger of Matthew 7:21-23 and 2 Corinthians 11:13-15, be warned! Do not follow them to this same path! GOD Bless! ❤️

At 40:37 While there is no statement in the immediate text as to why this did not come about, there is not in Jeremiah anywhere any statement that they didn't have a problem with prophets sometimes getting it wrong, missing it. However, Josh is right that because the author has previously taught prophesies of judgement are conditioned upon repentence (Jer.18) when you get to the text where it says God did not bring this judgement about, one must conclude He repented. Not that the prophet was wrong. The author does not allow that as a possibility from the context of Jeremiah. Miller has imported an explanation into the text which nowhere Jeremiah states as a possibility. However, Jeremiah's audience would know God's judgement was averted because the condition of repentence was met. I don't think any of the major/minor prophets of the O.T. ever, "missed it". If there was a failed prophesy it would have to be shown from one of the more obscure prophets which prophesied on a different level.

I think there's a good case to be made for viewing prophecy through a Hebraic lens, where prophetic events recapitulate and reverberate through history, as patterns with an ultimate fulfilment. This can be seen in multiple examples both in the Hebrew Scriptures and the Midrashim commentaries on Scripture. A prime example of this would be Hosea 11:1, which is used by God through the prophet to speak into Israel's captivity in Assyria, but the imagery utilizes the Egyptian captivity of Israel. This language evokes the hearer/reader to consider Abraham called out of Egypt, Moses called out of Egypt and the Sons of Jacob called out of Egypt, reassuring Hosea's audience that they likewise will be called out of captivity. Matthew states unequivocally that the prophecy is ultimately fulfilled in Jesus (Matt. 2:15). There are many other examples that we can track through Scripture, not least of all the Messiah prefigured prophetically in Isaac, Joseph, Judah and David, amongst others. The Midrash on Ruth does something similar regarding the Messiah. All this to say, that I think 1 John 2:18 is another example of this - many antichrists have come (historically) and the antichrist is coming. We see Jesus saying something similar regarding Elijah having come already in John the Baptist and yet coming again in the future (Matt. 17:10-13). I have found this approach to prophecy and eschatology really helpful in trying to navigate the different positions. Instead of having to choose between a framework where everything was fulfilled once and once only, we see patterns that allow for multiple fulfilments - so, yes, events in AD70-134 (the Preterist view) are prophetic patterns but not the ultimate fulfilment. Nero was an antichrist, but so was Hitler (to name but a few) and yet the antichrist is still coming.

Hey @Remnant Radio. hope u guys see this, I did some looking a the Jeremiah passage. Sorry guys but I think the interpretation that it was "missed" is weak at best. (Reading NKJV) First, the passage refers to two kings of Judah: Jehoiakim son of Josiah and Coniah aka Jehoiachin aka Jeconiah son of Jehoiakim. About Jehoiakim it is prophesied unpleasant death and Coniah is prophesied exile and to have no son to sit on the throne. Chronicles and Kings both confirm that Jehoiachin was exiled (later freed to eat at the king's table) and his uncle took the throne before the fall of Jerusalem. (Side note: Jewish people also like to argue that Jesus is not Messiah because of Matthew's genealogy which includes Jehoiachin because he is excluded from the Davidic covenant: not taking into account Luke's separate genealogy and Mary). Second "rested with his fathers" does not necessarily indicate peaceful death or burial with the kings. Josiah and Ahab died traumatically in war and "rested with their fathers" Amaziah King of Judah 2Kings 14 was assassinated and his son built Elath "after the king rested with his fathers." Uzziah/Azzariah "rested with his fathers" and "was buried with his fathers" in Kings yet Chronicles says he was not buried directly in the tombs of the kings because of his leprosy. (Jehoram/Joram is treated similarly between the two texts-- Kings says buried with the Kings, Chronicles says he wasn't.) Third, Kings says Jehoiakim "rested with his fathers" but does not state he was buried or where. Chronicles indicates that he was shackled and taken to Babylon. Thus, he may have been *not buried,* in Babylon, *outside Jerusalem*. Scripture doesn't explicitly say, true, but the context does seem to make a possible implication. Fourth. If it is true that Jeremiah "missed it" because it was a contingent prophecy it is possible that a repentance could be omitted since this occurred in the case of Manasseh King of Judah whose repentance is only recorded in Chronicles. However, I think repentance in the case of Jehoiakim is stretching it. Anyhow, thanks for the thoughts though. Love listening to you guys. PS. I also concur w B.J and I think that Mike Winger's analysis of the Tyre prophecy is worth you guys checking out.

Great conversation. I would agree that training is probably necessary for people. I would ask that we not discount the damage done to, say, a young woman struggling with infertility when a prophet tells her she will conceive and she doesn't. It may not be mass collateral damage like the "Trump" prophets caused, but it may be mass damage to her heart. And that's not ok. We just have to be so careful not to be careless with our words in pursuit of acting in a gift. 🙏🏻

Curious how Ez 3:18-19 would be handled in your discussion. 18 If I warn the wicked, saying, ‘You are under the penalty of death,’ but you fail to deliver the warning, they will die in their sins. And I will hold you responsible for their deaths. 19 If you warn them and they refuse to repent and keep on sinning, they will die in their sins. But you will have saved yourself because you obeyed me.
@chriswrightcook2 жыл бұрын
concerning the Jehoiakim passage in 2 Kings, it’s definitely not out of the realm of possibility that Kings would not include his repentance. 2 Kings does the same thing with Manasseh. All 2 Kings says about Manasseh is that he was evil and led Judah astray and then died, but 2 Chronicles includes something 2 Kings does not- Manasseh actually repented and turned towards God later in life and tried to lead Judah back to the worship of God.

I hear Miller relying a lot on the whole “none of his words fell to the ground” argument but I really think he’s making an error in reasoning here. If I say to you that “all the words that Paul wrote in Romans were true”, that doesn’t imply that the words he wrote in Ephesians were false. It’s just highlighting the truthfulness of Paul’s words in a selected portion of Scripture. So when the Bible says that none of Samuel’s words fell to the ground, we aren’t meant to infer that all the other prophets words *did* fall to the ground. That doesn’t follow.

And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. _The road to Damascus is said to have been a desert place and may still be a desert place._ Matthew 24:26 *Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.* _Also Jesus says_ Matthew 24:24 *For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.* _Regardless of what Jesus' warns about signs and wonders in Matt __24:24__, Paul claims his signs of an apostle are signs, and wonders..._ 2 Corinthians 12:11 I am become a fool in glorying; ye have compelled me: for I ought to have been commended of you: for in nothing am I behind the very chiefest apostles, though I be nothing. 2 Corinthians 12:12 *Truly the signs of an apostle were wrought* among you in all patience, *in signs, and wonders,* and mighty deeds.

That moment where Michael reads the verses in scripture that directly show he’s going to hell without repentance 🤦🏻♂️ If the prophecy isn’t conditional and does not come true, then you’re anathema unless you repent to be forgiven. I know this better than most people… long story. You’re in my prayers! All three of you! You must be born again to enter the Kingdom of Heaven! GOD Bless! ❤️

I love Randy Clark, but you do know he’s NAR, right? My former Pastors are huge NAR people & are on Randy Clark’s Board. My former Pastors were friend with C. Peter Wagner, are friends with such big names as Lance Wallnau, Che Ahn & Patrícia King,-to name a few. They are also very close to Chuck Pierce.

Let's talk about Jonah for a second. He made a simple prophecy against Nineveh. It did not come true. Was he a false prophet? Was the prophecy a false prophecy? Why or why not?

Roundtree was acting a bit weird in this episode... I'm not trying to be judgemental of a brothers heart in a way I shouldn't but it kinda rubs me the wrong way when he kind of interrupts and says "those are my thoughts, i've said a lot, i will allow you others to speak now", I catch a kind of prideful sense in it..? Though I know there is a delay in the video which can be weird sometimes.. And I want to believe the best in my brothers of course, just thought I would comment that for his own growth as I would want the same to be shared to me for my growth. But again, I want to be as gracious as I can, perhaps it's simply a little bit of social awkwardness which is common and communication in many ways is very nuanced and just hard. Also, I'm kinda getting the sense Michael and Michael don't get along all that great..? Not too bad but kinda snippy to each other it feel. Though I'm sure they really try being as close and brotherly to each other and it seems they think their relationship is good and the joke with each other in that kind of jab way, but I still kinda doesn't sit well with me feels forced and weird a little. Would be cool if some time was spent getting you guys even more in tune with each other so the banter and flow of things in these videos is a bit more natural and comfortable. Maybe a little retreat together with some humbling practice in some way and vulnerability? tho that proposition admittedly makes me laugh because it sounds creepy cult like a bit. 😂

We learn and grow in that gifting through accountability. The goal is not to stay there, but to grow in understanding how God communicates by what bears fruit.

Where in the Bible does it classify it on a national stage? Wouldn't leading a single person to believe that God wanted them to go down a path, when God didn't ask for it be evil as well? When you speak as a prophet, you are giving the assumption that you are speaking on behalf of God. Where in the Bible did prophets tell people to become accountants or trivial facts. Is that a prophecy or an encouragement? So many people believe that they are prophets today, it is so crazy. Most of the time it is something that is vague. Why would you have a higher standard if someone is in front of the church verse someone that is speaking to someone privately? Isn't that person just as important as a group of people?

I know this may seem like a stretch to some, but when it comes to the cessationist argument that healing has ceased, makes literally no sense in accordance with how even the human body functions. What I’m referring to is the fact that the human body actually heals itself. God MADE our body, and when we scrape our knee, the flesh repairs itself. It heals itself…so I just can’t see how, with even the most elementary understanding of the human body, how there can even still be a cessationist argument at least against healing. Tongues debates I can understand but healing?! Come on!

No where in Scripture does God say there is a gift of culinary arts! That is a talent. God bestows talents on everybody. But, the gifts of the Spirit are special manifestations from the Holy Spirit upon people who have received Him by placing their faith in Jesus Christ. Culinary arts is NOT a gift from the Holy Spirit!
@TKK08122 жыл бұрын
And obviously that's not what he said. He said "You've been given a prophetic gift", so he specifically said it's a gift of prophecy. He then goes on to say "that it has to do with culinary arts". The gift is completely separate from the way in which it's expressed. If someone told you "Hey, you have a gift of teaching and it has to do with KZbin", obviously the person isn't saying that KZbin is a gift of the spirit, rather that's the medium of how God is going to use it.

If a Prophet is NOT accurate or speaks a false prophecy that He claims is the word of GOD, He makes God a liar. This is the reason why a false Prophet had to die. There is NO other standard, there is NO other test how to determine who is a genuine or a false Prophet. Let me tell you one thing if God speaks, you know it is GOD. There is NO guessing game or I feel the Lord said hogwash. If you feel or you think the Lord said, you are already walking in doubt. There is a very big difference if God calls a man to be His Prophet or people ordain themselves. The problem why there is a major division in the body of Christ is because of false prophets and prophecies. People are fed up with it. A Prophet who is ordained by GOD never gives a false prophecy. Just think if you teach the wrong doctrine about salvation, just alone the devastating consequences it would have because of the lies/false doctrines. When you got saved you know that God saved you and you can with full assurance say God saved me or say I am saved. When GOD calls a Prophet they know they are Prophets called by Him and their responsibility. They wouldn't dare to speak falsely before GOD. There is a big difference between the word of knowledge by a regular Christian and an ordained Prophet. Christians think they have a little word of knowledge that they are Prophets, NOT so, God's Prophet doesn't need to declare and proclaim himself as a Prophet because God already ordained him as such. All those false Trump prophets have brought tremendous reproach of the PROPHETIC. They brought much damage and division to the body of Christ, not just a flaw or mistake, it was false prophecy. When GOD gives you a public ministry as His Prophet, you don't miss a beat, you will be 100% accurate. There are too many so called prophets out there who speak in public without God's approval. The boasters and the show offs usually proclaim their own goodness with dreams or visions they had. Who can vet that? Nobody! How can you test a vision or a dream? You only can test dreams, visions and prophecies if they come to pass, no other way. You cannot stretch the word and make it fit or move the goalpost which false prophets do all the time. That's why God says in His word......have we not prophesied in your name......etc. I never knew you, depart from Me you who practice lawlessness. What do they practice, simple, lying in His name. A trained doctor shouldn't make any mistakes, an airplane pilot either. Well, how much more a Prophet who speaks on behalf of the Creator of the Universe. Do you think God cannot make it crystal clear what He wants them to say to His children. Of course He can and will because He ordained and trained those Prophets. Please guys don't lower the standard, Samuel's words never fell to the ground because he was called by GOD. Count please how many KZbin prophets posting a word every month, how many are true? They heard a word or had a dream, wow? They need the Fear of GOD, that's missing. Please just think about it, if men can train an airplane pilot NOT to crash a plane how much more can Almighty God train His ordained Prophet to speak 100% accurate. Just think, God is the same with the same standard. A TRUE PROPHET doesn't lead you to other gods. Show me one scripture of one Prophet in the old testament who spoke falsely, don't think Mike, not the basement Mike or presume beyond the Word.

I have to disagree with a lot of this. Unfortunately couldn’t watch the whole thing.. but minimizing “missing” a seemingly small prophecy is 100% irresponsible. Around the 33min mark or so, the example of missing by asking someone if they have an illness is shrugged off as no big deal. I PROMISE you it is a VERY big deal for the person you asked that to. Cue the constant questioning and inevitable anxiety about having an undiagnosed illness that a “prophet” saw in you. This can be life altering so please don’t minimize something like that. I also did not hear any differentiation between being a “prophet” and having the gift of prophecy… two VERY different things. If you have a gift of prophecy that doesn’t mean you should be operating corporately or publicly as “a prophet”. It can be very damaging and dangerous for all involved
