@MercuriePL Funny..... Two polish girls have been banned from skiing for 2 years for using drugs. Kowalczyk is one of those two. Bjørgen used to win races without the asthma medicine aswell. It doesn't affect muscles as other drugs, but it helps her breathing. So yes, it helps her breathe the same way as other skiers. Kowalczyk wanted to use the medicine aswell, but tests of the medicine on healthy people shows that it makes their breathing worse.

Its not forbidden, even kowalczyk can use it if she wants, and i think she has, it does not do you any good if you dont have asthma.

Well, Justyna WAS the queen of the 2008/2009 season, winning the Cup as well as two golds and a bronze at the WCh. She has won 4 Olympic medals and 6 WCh medals so far, that's the statistics. And she has also won the Tour (Marit has not). Of course, Marit is the current queen now - that cannnot be denied. But Justyna's successes cannot be denied either.

J. Kowalczyk is the best healthy competitor. Asthma is a disease and therefore some athletes (especially Norway) should compete in any Special Olympics. In Poland there was such a walker Korzeniowski, but that's what happens in this discipline is paranoia.

Vycrackany No. I think its somewhere around 5-7% for adults. A little higher for kids.
