love these pods but was hoping for more substance on the emma hayes issue. the problem isnt the shove, as that is passion as you say. the concerning reality is that if jonas layed hands on her, he would lose his job, get fined and maybe arrested for assault. the double standard when it comes to this type of thing is frustrating and as a woman in the game myself, i feel its a damaging narrative.

Did you have any football traditions or superstitions? I remember Incey didn’t put his shirt on before entering the pitch and when I was younger my dad got me teddy sheringhams aftershave (his actual one) he worked at a famous golf course and would look after people there… but I used to rub the bottle on my foot before school so it would give me good luck on the playground (100% worked) I love teddy, he was an incredible footballer and so beautiful to watch play.

If Jonas Eidevall had acted in the way that Emma Hayes did he would have been heavily criticised and the repurcussions would likely be severe for him. Hayes' behaviour was not only disgusting but her disingenuous comment about male aggression was totally irresposnible and wreckless. Eidevall was unhappy with a football decision that despite agreeing to one ball being used for the match (something Chelsea requested) that this was ignored by Chelsea as soon as they fell behind. I had quite a lot of respect for Hayes and her achievements before this game was played. Afterwards I now feel that Hayes is an example of a very bad loser and quite possibly a shamlessly terrible human being. Hayes deserves to be criticised and I would suggest punished for her behaviour but it looks like she will get away with her morally bankrupt actions. Actions that I would suggest have brought the women's game into disrepute in a totally unnecessary way.

@crimsonknightuk I don't think there's any club bias. I just think Southgate is stuck in his ways. He's a dog 💩 manager & these players are wasted on him. I'd sack him now & give the team to Mourinho to manage this tournament just. I know people think he's too defensive too. But he does know how to play more attacking. He did it at Porto, Inter & Madrid.

Mainoo is such a media pushed talent. We're acting as if he's had a similar impact to when Pedri was controlling Spains midfield and Barca's best player at 18. Mainoo is good on the eye but terrible defensively. Spends half the game running back because he doesn't know you can't just step up and leave 30 yards of space between you and the defence.
