5:40 the Sega Master System and Game Gear are basically the same system, you can actually run SMS games on a GG directly using a cartridge adapter (it was an official accessory).

idk why but the default sampling rate in snes emulator is 16khz. When you change it to 44.1khz the sound becomes much clearer

Actually it is more authentic to set it to 32khz as THAT is the actual samplerate the soundchip of the SNES delivered. Once you go to 44,1khz, you only get nasty aliasing of the interpolated audio. Trust me, 32khz already sounds vastly better than 16khz.

Random related: Master System and Game Gear are identical hardware (ROMs are absolutely binary compatible) Only differences are the GG having a lower display resolution but with an extended colour palette. Emulators will group the two systems together, because the same emulator will run both types of games.

Did you see the Lego Mario sets prices? It's like 60-70$ for a 230 piece set. If that's not bad enough they are selling Powerup suits... 12$ for a new hat and pants with a few bits to make a base. Mario not included. Lego have always been expensive but compare it to the Mandalorian's ship with 5 figures at 150$ for 1023 pieces. Mario is a deluxe cashcow.

@@chamoo232 Yep, LEGO Mario is stripped off everything that makes LEGO great. You can't really use regular lego pieces much since you still have to use these functional bricks to make toy work. In order to get full experience you need to spend the equivalent of Switch Lite. Honestly fuck Nintendo as company, games are great for the most part, but as a company they get away with a lot of stuff that other companies would be frown at by gamers. Just take a look at other Mario 35th anniversary stuff.

I actually ended up buying this console. I will say mine had a few major issues, key of which being that some of the console emulators just don’t work right. I wasn’t able to play NES games with a stability that could be playable. A few other emulators didn’t work quite well but they did work. BUT! I will say that I LOVE this little thing. It’s become my go to portable console since you can super easily download roms onto it. It’s really customizable and what runs well is super fun. It’s got everything I really cared about, the stuff that didn’t work wasn’t too upsetting as I either didn’t care about the console in question, or I have other ways of playing them. In all I love this console despite its faults.

Emperor_Penguin Did you know that boards aren‘t just pressure fitted into a device? Hardware is always smaller than its encasing, putting a smaller board into a larger case isn‘t a magical task. That’s why logicboards are always held down by screws. You obviously can‘t just swap the boards out of the box, the powkiddy has more buttons, different ports and internally different screw mounts. But with a few modifications to the clamshell you could transform this into a more legit GBA clone.

The new black one for 2022-2023 works like a charm. I own the orange red, coral pink and now the black one of these. I absolutely love them. Even with just regular stock firmware. Plays Original Tomb Raider games 1-5 with no issues for ps1 and some other games if you use frame skip 1 and change the setting to sch1000 ect. I recommend this device for nostalgia feel and to bring better color and feel to some games :) The newest 2022-2023 black version doesn’t have much differences from the older ones, though very small differences, you can tell they’ve improved some things with stock firmware.

I think the reason the coins in Super Mario World sounded off to you is that you grew up with the GBA version, whereas you were testing out the Super Nintendo version. The GBA and the SNES obviously did not have the same sound processor, so certain sounds were not 100% reproduce-able on the GBA from the SNES. Among those sounds are the sounds coins and Dragon Coins make when you pick them up!

It is good for making Legend of the River King 2 Gameboy Color Rumble after you fix the cartridge type to 1EH with the Gameboy ROM Analyzer. You can also do Nushi Tsuri Adventure-Kite no Bouken for GBC by patching it to English.

It’s just an emulation thing, who cares. There are so many decent emulation devices devices running the same dingoo OS stuff out there. The emulation isn’t accurate and it’s not authentic. You’ve got the original hardware, why not play the real thing rather than a bootleg?

devilishmode yah cause you’re playing 100 games a day. I know it’s the excessive space year of 2020 but you don’t need to have that many games at your fingertips, pick a game and play it. It’s not that hard to focus on one thing, you just need to practice.

devilishmode then carry your Mario kart cart if that’s what you like. Cartridges are small enough so that it’s not a big deal. Heck, flash carts are cheap enough and work with real hardware. Even if they’re a modern, multi-second attention span emuloid meme, at least it’s real hardware, so you’ve something resembling got the true, intended and authentic experience.

For anyone curious about why the Sega Master System emulator can play Game Gear games, the Game Gear shares enough hardware with the Master System that you can actually play Master System games on the Game Gear with an aftermarket adapter! The Game Gear actually supports MORE colors than the SMS can handle, so unfortunately the reverse isn't really true, though there are ways to patch GG games if you really MUST play on the big screen.

I love it too! Very nice little handheld. A new cfw is in preparation by jutley. It has good controls excellent screen and emulators are running fine. For 25€, difficult to find better than that...
