Funnily enough I had a heli simulator for the PC to learn flying a model helicopter, a buddy lead from actual r c controller plugged into pc.., apparently if you can master the pc sim you’ll fly the model…, sim & helicopter have been in the loft many years now as I never mastered either!.., give me Hogs of War on the ps1 any day, I absolutely loved that game, sadly I no longer have my Ps1, Ps2 or games.., glad I hung onto my SNES & ZX Spectrum though!👍

Never played it but the cockpit view, presentation and HUD tell me its an off shoot of the Test Drive series, which as you correctly point out found a few titles moved to 3DO after being on PC. They were never well optimised for 3D graphics hardware, hence the rough look.

Hi Craig! I definately recall seeing Need for Speed on a friends 3DO back in the day and thinking this looked very similar. Not a patch on the quality of Ridge Racer!

I remember seeing billboard ads for Lifeforce Tenka in the first Wipeout game. Totally forgot it existed until now.

Good point! Yes I recall a leaflet in my copy of Wipeout too. It’s not a bad game at all!

I remember going down to the Sony Center to see tha Playstation, it spiked my interest at the time but never got it , i didnt want a console. That Gradius looks mint, oh by the way its not Easter yet!

Hey! We’re still around and playing games. Josh has other interests now (he’s 18!). We’re still involved with retrogaming and go to events. You may see the odd video from time to time but it won’t be like it was sadly. Thanks for the support though! Glad you’ve enjoyed our stuff. :)

@@TheRetroShed Glad you guys are keeping well. I was hoping you'd crack on with KZbin.. Another similar channel I watch went from 4k subs to 20k in under 1 year and has grown again since and is now making him a nice 'side-hussle' as they say, of income. Anyway I enjoyed the dad and lad banter, retro v modern etc. I'm sure he's probably more into sports and girls at the minute!! I know I was at 18!! 😂

It certainly did. I remember seeing all the cool adverts for it in the cinema and the console being featured in clubs! It was a game changer. Excuse the pun!

Lifeforce Tenka is hardly obscure. Sure, nobody ever had the game, but the demo came bundled with the console around 1997.
