New Orleans is an amazing city to visit... I can't believe you couldn't find a place to eat in the French Quarter as there are places EVERYWHERE! My friends and I have gone there for a week the past 4 years and tons to do. Hope you get to go back and experience it more! I'll join next time, show you around and have you meet a ton of our friends down there!
