You don't use wind, you use the venturi effect, blow into the sack and it will inflate.

This. Blow into the mat but from about 6-12 inches back from the opening. It'll puff right up and you won't be left out of breath or have to flap around like a chicken.

It's not longer than the reviewer. Some of the camera angles and crops make it appear so, but the mattress is usually held higher off the ground than the reviewers foot.

Did you actually use it right on the snow like that by itself with just it's 3.7 R rating? What temp was it? Did you stay warm?
