Very Nice, I'm liking the Flir Complete unit at 14:38 wondering if anyone viewing this has used them for rodent location and for honey bee hive winter looks to see if the cluster is generating heat? Thank you so much, thumbs UP!

I believe the update rate of Flir One would be much better on the newer iOS devices. I'm thinking of getting Flir One so I've watched several reviews but most of them show better update rates. Anyway it's nice review, it helps a lot. Thank you. Btw, you said micro usb card instead of micro SD at 11:45.

When you locked the cameras, looking for nails in the studs and your hand print...You chose different locked temperature ranges for the two cameras. Suggest you try that again using the same ranges for both cameras.

I'm a bit late to the party here, but that's what I was thinking as well. He ought to have closed the span more. The Opgal was set to a span of 2 degrees and the flir was locked to a span of 8.3. It's all going to look the same when your span is set that wide. Of course, I don't know what the minimum span is. The spec for the flir is

This was an absolutely awesome review. I had no idea they had phone IR cameras. Very interesting. I am going to buy one of the phone versions.

One important difference between the FLIR equipment and the others, is FLIR has excellent software to work with the picture on a computer. I didn't watch all of this video, so it may have been mentioned.

This was great thank you. Curious if the FLIR C2 or the Seek Reveal (regular and/or XR) would have better range? I would use it for law enforcement to find people hiding in bushes or search and rescue primarily. Thanks!

You didn't show the nails and studs on the wall with the Flir One or Seek Compact. How do they perform in this regard compared to the Opgal Therm-App TH?
@whothinksforme6 жыл бұрын
Looks like the Opgal is the clear winner, am I right?

Opgal looks terrific. I wonder how well it would work for ios if I added the Micro USB-Lightning adapter? Or would it not work without supporting software since Apple likely won't have an app for it.

is it possible to locate termites in the wall or studs
@nyodine7 жыл бұрын
Hi, What would be the best unit to detect termites and wood borer bugs in woods found in the houses and or in logs yet to be processed. Which gives the best inspection distance and have sufficient resolution to identify what it is or at least provide the more clear image of what is providing the heat. This would be my main use but other used opportunities will become of interest, i'm sure. Could you please provided your opinion...? Thank you George

Hello, I'm looking for a camera that has a long shutter speed to look at mountainsides for temperature differences. Do you know which one would be best? I suppose it does not need to be a really good one, because it does not have a short shutter speed like the pros use. But likely it needs an adjustable shutter speed and every pixel needs uniform sensitivity. It also probably needs a long focal length or range. Would you be able to point me in the right direction, I'm looking for something less than $300?

I say, this phone adapter kind of thermal camerasa are not for professional invoiced works. I can imagine, what the client think, when he see You running around with a cellphone application :) It just looks a toy... so Your invoice is also looks like this. The client think.. pay for checking with cellphone? So get a real Fluke or FLIR. 10 invoice, and the gear is for free :) Thank You for sharing!

who freaking cares what other people think, come on real professional jobs ain't a bluff or somekind of make pretend of how you come across (people & clients aint stupid). and you can bet your ass any professional would much rather have a big screen with good clear resolution where you in fact can show the client & the customer the issues in person and the client actually can make out the issues in person and see if for them self on the clear screen in regards to a freaking little 2inch screen with awfull resolution and where its impossible to see anything unless you get home to the computer and perhaps can get the pictures out on a bigger screen.

would the Flir TG165 work to look through walls for rats?
@jeremyheitland8 жыл бұрын
The Flir TG165 is actually a visual IR Thermometer not a thermal camera. So it doesn't look as "deeply" into things like a thermal camera does. At least thats my understanding. I own one and it won't look "into" a wall.

200€ why are the so freakin expencive? becouse of Germanium? i need one for overall inspection ....phones....and maybe my insulation...but overall my devices and equipment ....one phone cliped is enough but 200€ is too much for my....isn't there anything cheaper?

You need to validate framerate, as one thing is specs anotherthing is real world facts., partically the ones with machanical shutter calibration. on the ones able to do video, its pretty easy to just grap, media spec dump. I picked up an el'cheapo'one, at sub 290USD after checking the market for some time, and my socalled variable framerate is all over the place and listed as Frame rate : 17.074 fps Minimum frame rate : 1.563 fps Maximum frame rate : 600.000 fps kzbin.info/www/bejne/mZi8oaRuqLx7aNEm5s

thanks! great video! !! Its January 2017---So if I have $1,500 what is the best bang for the buck? for resolution, depth. As a bee keeper/remover etc I basically want to look in walls, trees etc for bees. Instead of having to use my IPHONE 7plus (plug in kind) I would like a separate unit. I like the feature that I could see studs in wall also.

Umm.. Professional ones cost over 1000€ and these for 200€ are cheapest out there. Probably in few years this technology will advance further and more affordable

The reason thermal imaging cameras are so expensive is because there is no major competition in the market yet and they can charge whatever they want. Take for example the Flir E series, the only difference between the different versions is the firmware settings. They're all identical internally, you just pay out the nose to get a higher resolution.
