You can buy a reusable plastic shower cap that you can rinse off to use under this so you don't have to keep buying the disposable single use ones. You can get a basic reusable one really cheap from the drugstore, target, or walmart.

Wow, I will stick to my 2 plastic caps and a regular hair cap. I usually put my hair cap in the microwave for a few minutes. I place it on top of my other caps, works for me!

DO NOT WASH!!!!!! DO NOT IMMERSE IN WATER... Gosh I made the mistake of not reading the washing instruction. And I put it in water because of our accumulation. It became slimmy and terrible. I only read the washing instructions after I had put it in water. Now I am sitting here hoping it gets dry...😥😭😭😭😭

That's because it's full of flax seeds. You basically made flax seed gel inside of it when you washed it.

Hey, thanks for your detailed review! Do you notice that the cap gets hotter overtime or does it stay at an even heat the entire 20-30 minutes?

They do not stay at an even heat over time. After about 20mins I have to reheat mine if I want to do a longer treatment. They're great to have though and very convenient.

This cap is a joke. It's HELL to clean when it gets dirty and after a while it looks too nasty to use. I wouldn''t purchase it again.

You have to use a cap under it so nothing gets on it. You might have needed to use a larger shower cap under it so that all the edges of your hair were covered before putting it on. Also don't have your hair so wet that anything drips out.
