I am new subscriber of your channel.I will watch your all videos . You have great videos for Power supply repairs. How is you fast find short circuit component in any PC power supply? Which equipment more good for find short circuit, thermal camera or very sensitive microhm meter or both of them also you can advice thermal camera brand and model (of course a bit cheap price lol) also which model brand microohm meter(or any DIY project link intermet) Second question is :What are the reasons why a repaired pc power supply fails when connected to the load? For example, a 750 watt power supply fails at a 550 watt load. If main reason not original MOSFET or power component (while replacement in repair) Have a test circuit for MOSFET's measure power rate? as when connected to circuit we can be sure "this MOSFET can give correct power when soldering to power supply") Regards.

Thank you! I mostly use multimeter for finding shorts. Sometimes I use my cheap uti120ms thermal camera and DIY lab power supply. Yes, main reason is fake transistors. There are plenty of them in China. You should prefer to use similar transistors from donors if possible. If you buy transistors you should check their Rds on. For checking I use DIY lab power supply 12V, 10 amps current limit, connect + to drain, - to source, then open transistor from 12v BATTERY to the gate with a common ground with lab power supply and measure voltage drop on drain and sourse with a multimeter. Knowing amps and voltage drop you can easily find Rds on using Ohms law. I think I will make a video how I measure it.
