Sorry for the silly question but can you turn off all the RGB so it's completely dark? I wanted to get a case like the Fractal Focus 2 black but this one has way more storage capacity, larger clearance for GPU's and CPU air coolers. Also with Fractal you have to buy some stuff separately like the USB C and the SSD mounts. This seems really well designed and the included fans are great. Great review btw.

Yes and you could just unplug the fans or swap out for non rgb if that's not your thing !

Hi, The Fractal Design Torrent comes with 2 fans in the front and 3 fans on the bottom and from what I researched, is supposed to have great temps for a air cooled CPU build. Do you think this Thermaltake Ceres 500 would be as good (temperature wise) for a air cooled CPU build with it's 3 fans on the front and 1 in the back? Because I want to buy a case more or less at this price point that already has great fans included so that I don't have to buy anything more...

Fractal torrent has a massive fan. Also, internal shape suits air coolers as compared to other traditional case style

It's understandable that you would prefer the Thermaltake Ceres 500 PC Mid Tower Gaming Case with only black fans. The aesthetic appeal of a computer case is an important factor for many gamers and enthusiasts, and having a uniform color scheme can be an important part of achieving that desired look. However, it's important to keep in mind that the manufacturer may have specific reasons for including certain fan colors or designs. For example, some fans may have different performance characteristics or noise levels, and the manufacturer may have selected a specific fan design or color to optimize the cooling performance of the case. That being said, if you're really set on having only black fans in your case, you may be able to purchase and install aftermarket fans that meet your requirements. Just be sure to check the compatibility of the fans with the case and any other components in your system before making a purchase. cnl

will this case fit an e-atx motherboard? im afraid of its width blocking where the cords will supposed to go out
@DigitalDavid
@DigitalDavid Жыл бұрын
According to the specifications provided by Thermaltake, the Ceres 500 PC Mid Tower Gaming Case supports motherboards up to ATX size, which includes standard ATX, Micro-ATX, and Mini-ITX. It does not mention support for E-ATX motherboards, which are typically larger and wider than standard ATX motherboards. Therefore, it is unlikely that the Ceres 500 case will fit an E-ATX motherboard. Even if it did physically fit, there could be issues with cable management and obstructing the cables. It is always best to check the compatibility of your motherboard with the case specifications before making a purchase to ensure a proper fit. I hope this helps! cnl

@@DigitalDavidhank you! This definitely helps. I was wondering because on their website, they mentioned the “Ceres 500 TG ARGB has excellent expandability, allowing you to build the most high-end system you can dream of. It can support up to an E-ATX (12”x13”) motherboard...” However, when I saw you build using an ATX mobo, it seems like it perfectly fits there with the cord management.

it'd be nice to see the test done with the proper fan orientation of intake on the top due to there being a radiator, and the front being exhaust.

What I don't care for is that the controls are on the opposite side for me so a no go. Uptop is best for me, or on the right side.
@DigitalDavid
@DigitalDavid Жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing your feedback. The placement of the controls is definitely a personal preference, and it's important to find a case that suits your needs and comfort level. You may want to consider other mid tower gaming cases that have the controls on the top or right side to better fit your preferences. cnl

I purchased one for 80-20 USD and the buttons are at the top with HDD activity light and on light. Only sucky to it is the fans it included as 1200rpm max so they need to be replaced ASAP (already in my cart). I will replace the front three with 140mm Arctic ones 1900 rpm and 65-70cfm per fan made for pressure which the front fans need. @@DigitalDavid

@@DigitalDavid i figured it out! The main cables from the front fans have a sister 3 pin connector. I plugged the fron fans wrong at first by plugging the 3 fins to the BOTTOM of the board instead of the front sides.
