the prison for "naughty followers" is for if one of your followers begins to dissent, you can "re-educate" them to make them not dissent anymore, you can also give them gifts and bless them to "re educate" them a bit.

Watching this makes me realize the game doesn't explain knucklebones very well (if y'all are willing to like this so Therm sees that would be appreciated) Basically, it's the gambling of this game. The goal is to have a higher score than your opponent, which is the sum of all the dice on your board. The game ends when one player's board is entirely filled, so hopefully you have more points by then. You can eliminate the opponent's dice by placing the same number die in that column. For example, if the opponent has a four in the left column, you can eliminate that four by placing a four in the left column, and they lose four points. Glowing dice are usually bad to have because that means if someone puts the number on the glowing dice in that column, it takes out more than one of your dice (2 or 3, however many of that number are in the column.) You can use this to try and get rid of lower dice on your side though. Hope this helps someone. Edit: I was dumb and didn't realize the glowing dice multiplied their value lol 😂 so it's like a risky play that might turn out well. Definitely some strategy, some luck in this game

It's a great game and I like the way you play it. I don't think you need to make less wholesome choices just because they might be "boring" content, I think quite the opposite. In fact it's a funny contradiction to go against all that "sacrifice somebody" type stuff the game wants you to do!

The way I see it is that if the game didn't want me to be kind to my followers then it wouldn't have given me the options to do so, having them means this is as valid of a way to play as any other it offers

@@silvermoon3717 I'm not saying one play style is less valid than another. I don't know where you got that (possibly my bad English?). I was responding to Therm's reflection on whether or not he should adopt a less wholesome play style. I am not an expert on video game design or video game narratives. But my impression is that most modern games are set up to give you options to be more autonomous about your playing style compared to the design in the past. However, it doesn't mean the game mechanic doesn't punish you for going against the "intended" play style, for example by making your followers loose faith (or whatever it was) for declining the request of that one follower to provide a meal with the meat of another follower. Or that it narratively doesn't push you in a certain direction. The big boss clearly wants him to be less nice to the followers and has commented upon it several times. So I think saying the game's mechanics and narrative push you toward a certain play style over another is not unreasonable.

I completed the game with my partner not too long ago so some advice without spoilers - its so much easier to get stone than wood, the offering statues are mink; make as many as you can, meals get better rewards with more foodstuff that you find (you have about 4 more seeds to unlock and meals unlock when you get every ingredient for it) and keep an eye out for snail statues at the edges of all the new locations (you get a pretty sweet reward 😃 ) Oh! and destroy all the stuff around the vendors and tarot card dudes place if you aren't already (like grass and crates) have fun! keen to see some more

you definitely should get the jails. you can put followers who are decenting in them to prevent them from currupting the other followers and leaving. also the game will sometimes give you the task of accepting followers who are already discenting into your cult, so having at least 1 jail to immedietly put them in helps a lot.

Pro tip: Not having enough beds decreases faith by around 30, so build beds before you get followers. Also, the decor above rooms while crusading says its a shopkeeper. The swords are weapons guy, and the moon and stars are tarot card guy. I forgot what food guy is, but I think its meat.
