So will this pull water from a river if you attach a hose or you still need a pump of some kind?

Thanks for watching. It would pull straight from the river as is. Only thing I’d add is some kind of filter perhaps to guard the pump.

I’m sorry I misunderstood you. Yes, you have to have a pump of some sort. There is no pump on the water heater. If you are connected to city water you do not need a pump
