Thanks for the video.... I have the exact same thing going on every room in my house is zoned same exact thermostat that you purchased and I could not figure out what to do with the ground wire I looked all over the back panel and could not find any place so like you did I’m capping mine also

Thanks for the video. You answered my question about what to do with the groundwires. I have successfully installed my thermostat without electrocuting myself! One suggestion--maybe figure out a way to get some more light on the focus of your work. It is hard to see what you are doing. Cheers!

Can all mechanical thermostat be replaced by any digital thermostat? Or does this require some sort of matching of functions?

How do you know if the other wires are properly grounded in order to not have to hook up the old ground wire?

Is your baseboard heater 220 ? Mine looks a lot like yours. Mine is 220 but only one hot is switched.

Okay.. how do i turn it off but make it look like it is still connected from the outside? Do i just disconnect, cap it off, then put the cover back on? Is it safe to do so? Because i hate waking up sweaty because my sister cranks up the heat while i am sleeping.
