Robert Bateman was such a inspiration to me in the early nineties, as a diorama artist, that it propelled me into a succefful career in film theater and museum work. Now in retirement, I have settled back into the art form I have loved since I was a child. Thank you for taking the time to share about "gift giving" and it's value to family, community and society. I enjoy Mr. Bateman's comments about his life and work. I've read and studied his beautiful bird and animal paintings for many years. I have most of his books and enjoy each one. It's good to see that he is in good health. Keep up the work and enjoy life.

Hello there I am looking into my family history, my fathers uncle emigrated to Canada from England many long years ago, as the story goes he was attracted by a bear, I am looking for more information, is it possible that Robert bateman is the son of my fathers uncle, my father is 87 years old , I believe my fathers uncle lived in Toronto, I know this is a long shot but I just have a feeling, any help would be useful,
