Thank you Pastor Travis. My first time hearing you speak and I just have to comment how beautiful it is to see a man, any man but a black man in particular reveal his heart. You spoke about your relationship with your wife, your daughter, your son, and your community. And then you gave clear direction on who you need to be every single day. I could go on and on, but you confirmed something for me, and I'm sure for others and I hope God's people are listening, and that is "we cannot please this world and look like the world AND please God and do what He has called each one of us to do." Period! I like that you stood in the mirror, because every single day, at 60 years old, I have to decide who I want the world to see ... and it is not easy, but God told us that people will not like us if we follow Him .... Let's just pray for them and keep it moving in the light and salt we were called to be. I am constantly praying for the 2 generations behind me. The enemy is doing everything He can to keep them distracted, deceived, and directionless. Let's be louder, bolder and more loving than the world ... and change it. Standing on 2 Chronicles 7:14 and my life verse: 2 Timothy 1:7! God bless you, family (especially during this time), and ministry.
