If you speak, chat, or if you got in the closet in front of it, it will find you. If you were already hiding, it has to find you, which may happen but isn't guaranteed. That's what I've learned from my experience at least.

Theory: Residence Massacure is related to Jims Computer, not just inspired by it. Its very possible that we play as Jim in Residence Massacre at a younger age (possibly in his early 20s). Our encounter with the anomaly leaves us mentally scarred and incredibly paranoid. Years later in Jims Computer, Jim moves into a smaller house. We learn in the game a chemical refinery opened up near Jim's House, exactly what caused the Anomalies from Residence Massacure to pop up. Very possible one final Anomaly is created from the Chemical Refinery, who goes on a rampage throughout the town Jim lives in until finding Jim's house; hence the anomaly being the one who makes Jim paranoid during the night, explaining the knocking and strange noises. Instead of instantly killing Jim however, he decides to create Phycological Warfare on us, making us slowly go paranoid until we kill ourselves on the final night/the end of the game.

I actually had a partially similar dream to this. I was inside of a big house in the country and all of the doors were open and I had to close them all in a small amount of time but by the last door I had failed and whatever was outside got in. If you hear glass break, hope to god its a boarded up window, immediately go to the window the monster is and turn on the room light, it scares it away temporarily. You already know, but if you want to risk it, go outside every once and a while to refill O2, and to fix the power if it goes out, if it says O2 and shows a depleting bar, leave the house, if you can. The generator(O2) will be emptied, if you see it any room your in, like I said turn on the loghts, if it gets in. Well, you know what to do. And also, maybe try bloodmoon..It'll be fun..(experience)
