That is all kinds of wrong, police are trained to shoot until the treath is no longer present, the reason they shoot center mass is because its the largest target with lots of vital parts that can stop motor functions if it, normally shooting in the leg is not viable since its a small target that is most often moving

The Rookie is so full of mistakes. For example, they made a big issue of locking the police car so as to let someone to enter and take the car or weapons. More than once the passenger door is left open as the officers run to a crime. This goes on throughout the shows. And the worst is Nolan not watching where he is going while driving. He does this almost every time he is driving. The Rookie officer is always looking forward. In fact, they are the ones to yell, lookout.
