I organize my shelves as follows: Nonfictiction, historical fiction, series/multiple of one author, STEPHEN KING SHELF, OUTLANDER SHELF, GAME OF THRONES SHELF, stand alone books or books that i dont have the whole series of, then on my other shelves, its all graphic novels: Neil Gaiman shelf, stand alone or series graphics, then i have sketch books, magazines, manuals (gaming), then notebooks. I have a TBR cart, and a currently reading pile on my shelf as well. I love organizing so its been a joy to watch this video!

🦋🦋 Your shelves look so good! It's fun to see how differently you both organized everything! I use to organize by genre and then by color and vibes. But I moved into a (rental) house recently and I kind of want to put small collections of books all around the house! But I've underestimated just how many books I own 😆 So I'll probably still have some dedicated shelves.

I sort my books by author surname, with the exception of 4 series (one of which is WH40K). I also mix paperbacks, hardcovers and comics/graphic novels on the same shelf. How i keep track of which books i have read is that i put them back with the spines facing inwards.

I was excited to see Sweep my brother borrowed them from a friend in HS and I basically borrowed them from him because I was obsessed. He then bought me the entire original editions for one of my birthdays in my twenties and they definitely take center stage of my nostalgia shelf. I have a Pride shelf organized in rainbow, an Asian fantasy shelf, and then the rest is all based on vibes and keeping authors/series together
