Is working to get to complacency entirely a bad thing? I’ve worked pretty hard to get where I’m at and I’m of course still working hard, but admittedly I am dialing it back. I am still looking to build to more, just not using as much time to do so. I’m 23 and now make 80K, which at least for 2020 stats would put me at the 95th percentile for earners in the US at my age. In Kentucky, which is where I live, that probably is more like the 99th percentile honestly. I put in a lot more work while I was in school (both bachelors and masters) to make sure I secured those great grades, learned what I needed, and to be on the path to get a great career start. Now I’m using a lot of that time in different ways like working out and more leisure.

@SUPAassassin0982 жыл бұрын
@@fb7876 I could yeah, but the point of it was just seeing if there’s a problem with what I’m doing. On my current path I’m probably going to be at 100K+ a year by 25 and then still grow from there. I live very frugal and live in Kentucky so that lets me easily live my lifestyle and more. I just don’t know how much intensity one should have when I’ve been so intense for so long.

In regards to the idea of complacency, I totally get that and feel it entirely. Im 20 years old rn, still another 6 months til 21 and I'm comfortably netting $10k+ a month profit after all living and business expenses + personal wants. Back when I was 18, I wouldve thought this would be the end goal and dream but as you actually accomplish these arbitrary financial milestones a few things change (at least for me personally): 1) you realize you were thinking too small/as your grow, you start thinking bigger 2) the money was never the goal, just a metric to measure financial success 3) you realize $10k a month really isn't all that much. Ik, cancel me! When you have goals and dreams of retiring your family, traveling the world, buying your mom a $500,000 house, having a set of rovers for the fam, ect, that $10k a month isn't going to get you all that far 4) as I became more successful and my circle and awareness of other success people grew, I began to become aware of others not necessarily any more skilled, talented, or successful than me making 5-10x what i am. This makes you impatient and hungry for more and ties into my first point; you start thinking and seeing bigger than you initially imagined 5) the more i think about it too, there is no amount of money/net worth/monthly income where I would say "alright, thats enough. I can stop working now." Bc the more money you can accumulate and create, the more you are able to give to your family, friends, community, and those in need. Im 20, still have decades of learning and personal growth in front of me to change my perspective on things but trust. I feel no different now making 5 figures a month with ease than I did making $3,000 per month. One thing i'm sure of though is that i'll always have a desire to earn more
