Ap Blitz the difference is, while Spinel was abandoned on purpose, Steven was not. In the latter case, it’s more like “growing up on their own” and “innocent insensitivity” had a child. This is another reasons i think Spinel might help him with his trauma/problems. She has known what it feels like to lose someone she cares about. And that she loses her temper fast just like Steven. Steven told her that its alright that your mad but to not let her anger make the best og her. He forgave her and he showed her that there where people who'd like to have her as a friend. This is something Steven needs to remember and Spinel telling Steven the same ting that Steven told her would be a great ending to the show.

A lot of that was really interesting. I think that whole thing with the pineapple meaning it’s time to let go and potentially leave may be some next-level foreshadowing. There is an episode called “Homeworld Bound,” in which I think we go to Homeworld. If Yellow is a pineapple and pineapples in dreams can mean “leave,” then something may go down there. Either Steven flees to Homeworld for an array of reasons, or something happens while he’s visiting (Pink White Diamond? 👀) that causes Yellow to tell him off. It could potentially be both. I also feel like Blue is going to bring up “Classic Steven”, being as dolphins represent need to express joy in life and “be a kid again”. This could be the thing that sets him off, actually. And on that note, he and White May have reality checks with each other, leading to a heated argument as feet represent being grounded on where you stand in life. If all of that DOES turn out to be foreshadowing, we need to give the Crewniverse all the praise, because DAMN, they’re good. They make you do your research lmao. Those are just my two cents, though. Whatever they’re gonna do, I’m all ears.

Let's not forget to point out Peridot's very rational response to completely and immediately opt to back out of the whole thing when Steven initially didn't want Stefan to kiss the girl SIMPLY because she noticed it seemed to upset him. Steven is truly surrounded by love beyond compare and he needs to realize that it's that particular kind of love in which the war was ended in the first place, a love he taught the Diamonds, other gems, and even human friends to have and it should be something he relies on enough to confide in his friends and family before it's to late.

Something I find amazingly beautiful and funny is, judging by how seeing a pineapple represents a part or celebration, Yellow Diamond throwing some kind of celebration to cheer Steven up. Interesting thing about the dolphin and pineapple being the dream interpretations for needing to let loose and be youthful: they're on Blue and Yellow. The two diamonds who stayed under White's paradigm on Homeworld. They didn't enjoy their duties and the pressures, but they are still guilty for what they did, even tho the moral brunt (and, therefore, overwhelmingly gigantic shoes) lays with White, who coerced them into it. Pink had time to be Rose, and while times weren't actually, exactly rosy, with the planet covered in corrupted gems, she had time to be free and to develop separate from all of the abuse. Yellow and Blue never had that. Steven shows up and they start and era of peace, Era 3, but that's not a vacation. What I'm getting at, is that the Diamonds need a lot more development, and I see this dream as foreshadowing for a Diamond Family Vacation wherein these issues actually see the light, and everyone walks or beams away with some level of closure. Any level. Anything. Because these tyrants haven't been redeemed. And we haven't seen what Era 3 looks like, across the galaxy, to everyday gem colonists, to the other civilizations that the Diamonds were eradicating. I MUST SEE THIS -jeweltoned- DARK TRIAD FEEL EMPATHY FOR NON-DIAMONDS.

I love peridot in this episode because she herself has gone through some major character development in rediscovering herself and her purpose after she defected to the Crystal Gems. She had to find stuff she was good at, and a new joy in her world as a non home world gem. This episode hit home so hard, I cried by the end! I love how this show not only describes types of mental and emotional problems, but it also shows ways it can effect someone and even potentially ways to cope. If that means asking someone you care about to sit down with you and watch a show you love, or actually talking it out, as long as you can comfortably get help you might be seeking. For example, I've been pretty stressed lately, and one night while I was sleeping over at a friend's place, I was nearly crying because of how much that stress caught up to me. So we talked a little, then the two of us laid down and watched my go to show to calm me down or distract my thoughts til we fell asleep. That helped me more than she'll probably ever realize.

I think this episode is my favorite. Even if you ignore the possible symbolism- it just capture the feel of a dream *perfectly!!!* Characters changing into others, odd things in the background that don’t fit, you as a character that isn’t quite you, the wake up in bed to still be in a dream, mirrors/TVs not working, buildings with changing architecture, it’s all real things that have happened in my dreams! And it’s so weird to have the surreal feeling captured perfectly. I’ve tried and never really could replicate it. So that animation was my favorite part, but seeing the jabs at shows and it’s fandoms was also a great highlight.

I like to think that Cookie Cat was meant to resemble Mao Mao, a character in another CN show. Mao Mao is constantly trying to gain love and admiration from other people and is prone to being callous not only to others but himself as well, which is what Steven was experiencing in Future. And the baby part reminded me of the time Steven turned into one after pretending to look older to please Connie. I imagine that he cried because he was afraid of Connie leaving because of being too young for her and would make their friendship awkward.

I like the fact that out of everyone of his friends he chose peridot to open up to......well indirectly but still. He finally had that one friend in future that he was able to talk to. And I also realized the Steven so far has been able to mostly open up to the (B TEAM, peridot, bismuth,and lapis) more then he's able to open up the the OG cystal gems. But I think this episode was really nice. And Peri finally got her episode in future so I'm complete 👌🏽💚

When I heard her say action-oriented storytelling, I thought she meant tell the story through actions and events and not narration or dialog. Show it, dont say it.
