These celebrations are traditionally a Scandinavian-only event. 🙂

Only Nordic countries were invited. Plus the Norwegian and Danish royals are very close friends and family. And the event was beautiful. The royals from Belgium and Netherlands weren't included either.

Princess Benedikte had to stand in as Regent for Queen Margarethe as both she and the Crown Prince would be out of the county. I read that the remaining three Haga Princesses have become too old to travel.

Not strange at all. There’s a Nordic tradition to only invite Nordic leaders for jubilees, birthdays and international guests only for weddings.

Princess Stephanie of Luxembourg should put the little Prince Francois in a sling or front pack and give her poor arms a break. It was wonderful to see her take him to work but I do remember those days and how after a few hours of holding one of my babies, I wasn't sure when the arms would work right again! Thank Alexandra!

I find it strange that there was no royal representative from the UK. for the Swedish festivities. I assume that an invitation was extended and wonder if CharlesIII will continue his mother's habit of ignoring these kind of celebrations.

Traditionally, these celebrations are Nordic only. To invite a member of the British royal family to this type of event would be very unusual.🙂

I see. For a moment when I saw the Queen of Greece there, I had hopes of seeing some glittering tiaras from the UK. as well. (I know she is Queen Margrethe's sister) Still, it will be interesting to see if CharlesIII sends royals to occasions where UK royals are expected to attend and then do'n't. @@TheRoyalCorrespondent

They're not going to invite every and all royals. Most of the Nordic/Scandinavian royalty are closely related to each other through marriages and grew up and socialise together. The British royals are very distant cousins (through Queen Victoria, naturally).

Hi! 🙂 That is the name of the district. Monaco-Ville is also known as the Old Town/The Rock/ Le Rocher. Most individuals are unaware, but currently within the tiny principality there are seven districts: Monaco-Ville, La Condamine, Fontvieille, La Rousse (St.Roman), Monte-Carlo, Larvotto, and Jardin Exotique. The newest district, Mareterra, is expected to be completed in late 2025.
