Nice Ben. I´m senior rugbier from Chile. Your lessons teach me a lot of things to improve my technique. Maybe, you ca do a drill thinking in seniors, it will be nice. Thanks

@@TheRugbyTrainerTV well, i think it was the first part, hoy to warm the shoulders. When you are a senior rugbier, how to warm your body for a game or a training, it's priority

Love your videos! Just a small note, that the image you've used for this video shows the tackler's head perfectly in line with the hip of the perspn carrying the pad, thus increasing the liklihood of a head knock. Tonnes of good frames in this video to choose a better title image that shows the tackler at thigh or belly height! Keep up the great work

In Judo and BJJ, the footwork of the throw is completed 5-10 times with opponent. This repetition builds muscle memory. Then the full throw is completed and practiced. Then they move into full on competitive practice. The key being repetition of core movements and building the complexity of the skill. I love this session for just that reason. Break the skill down, then build it up. All with high participation from both players. . Too much old school rubbish out on the training fields.

Nice one. We have difficulties convincing our players (U14) that you end up on the floor after a tackle. Always.
@TheRugbyTrainerTV11 ай бұрын
Haha ye very true. Very important to practise finishing the tackles off time to time. They let go before tackle is complete?
@paulevans80811 ай бұрын
@@TheRugbyTrainerTV yes. All the time. I vaguely remember using "grab" tackles when we were running plays or preparing for a match. That seems to be how the boys tackle. Really hard to get them to break that habit.

I play for both my university and club teams, and after watching this video, I've decided to incorporate some of the warm-up exercises that we currently don't do. Thanks to your advice, I'll be including them in my routine from now on.@@TheRugbyTrainerTV
