I’m excited for Superblast 2 since Superblast is already a good shoe to begin with

Horses for courses, Asics Superblast for me and it's proven, does all the Skyward X can and more but can see why people would go for the Hoka if they do more easy/long runs.
@mfcc10849 ай бұрын
Thanks for this review. The Skyward X looks like a great shoe; however, the Cielo X1 can do all those things, plus speedier runs, making it more versatile. I am a fan of super stacked shoes, so hopefully, I can try this one, and maybe I can consider buying it in the future.

Agree except Cielo X is crazy unstable and doesn’t fit as well as the Skyward X

just got my skyward x today, looks like I'm gonna love it, need this easy pace shoes in my life.

I have the superblast and honestly they tend to beat my feet up a fair bit. Not sure why but I get pretty noticeable foot fatigue from them. They do push me along at a good speed though
@dorins37879 ай бұрын
same for me sometimes. But they do offer a great cushioning. Short answer for me: I need a better technique for running. And maybe more developed muscles - my quads

This shouldn't even be a competition Superblast is like 4 Ounces lighter, its a no brainer

@@mrsillybear Read the reports about regular use of high stack shoes like Superblast … everyday shoes that are bad for your mechanics and leave you running with wooden legs is not a great thing to excited about, don’t you think? The antithesis of bear foot running 🤦🏻♂️
@mrsillybear8 ай бұрын
@@NickBritten I do run in the superblast and I’m definitely what you would consider a lighter runner, works a dream. If anything high stacked rockered shoes can decrease lower limb injuries which I have had plenty of wearing more minimal shoes.
@Fozzee.19708 ай бұрын
Superblast is firmer than other high stack shoes so doesn't cause the same issues. Once broken in it's dense, protective and stable. @@NickBritten

Here in the US, its a no brainer! Superblast all day, every day. Plus, if you are a first responder, teacher, etc. Asics gives you another 20% off. No way the Skyward X is even in the same conversation.

Great to know my daughter is a teacher where can I find that discount is it on their website. I have three pairs of the Superblast they are the best and waiting for contact when the Superblast 2 in black are back in stock I would love to get that 20% discount. Ty for sharing.

I've always wanted to try ASICS' supershoes (both the Metaspeed series and Superblast), but as a UK13/13.5, they never stock above a 12. So for someone like me, the Skyward X seemingly fills that void well 🙏
@matthanna19809 ай бұрын
But how heavy will that be (I'm also a UK13)?!!
@nooshmert9 ай бұрын
I can imagine they’ll be unbelievably hefty. Endorphin Speed may also be an option here!
@matthanna19809 ай бұрын
Yes, a shame about Asics with these examples - I'd love to give them a go. Endorphin Speed is good (have v2), but I'm after something higher-stacked, more cushioned and not more than ~300g to help protect my 40+ year-old legs!

Just bought a superblast, it is softer on easy run and firmer when we pick up the pace, is it just me or not?
@karlbratby43498 ай бұрын
I own them both and really like them both, prefer easy days in the hoka and if want to push a little more in the superblast but for speed work use something else. I have a shoe problem, I just keep buying them 😂 legs and feet feel great after a hoka run, not so much after the superblast session

I am a Hoka fan and have tried many of their road running shoes. I bought the Skyward X last week and returned it today. Highly disappointing. They were killing my knees. The shoes aren't level,they tilt outward. I'd like to know what is the best high cushioned running shoes for lowest impact on the body

Superblast way too stiff for lighter runners … not pleasant to run in everyday, which is what it’s designed for. The Hoka Skyward X much more comfortable and plush .. but I still prefer Mach X which still has a high stack and nylon plate … but much lighter 👍

Superblast is a very good shoe. Most Hoka fit badly for me. Hoka is also 10 tons heavier. If I want bricks attached to my feet I will get them from a construction store for a lot less money.
