Okay i hated Lisa's mom as a kid but as an adult I'm kind of siding with her 😂 the girls ran out in front of a moving car out of no where, my dad watched my riding lessons when I was that age too (lots of parents did it made no sense to drive home if you were picking your kid up in an hour), and honestly most horses (esp school horses we put a kid on) don't spook that bad to cell phones and if they do the instructor should've told her to make sure the ringer was off. Especially for a first lesson it's pretty reasonable a parent would want to observe and make sure the instructor is safe and all that good stuff lol Also Max is hot. Just saying

@@Hallowiskindadead You still look both ways before crossing the street, even though cars have to stop for you when you're at a crossing. Honestly the girls were more at fault, generally you check if the coast is clear if you want to cross, ESPECIALLY if you're riding a horse that can get scared by cars. The mom should have been driving slower but it wasn't her fault the girls weren't at all paying attention to their surroundings

Things can change with time. Though credit where it's due, even the adults find Lisa's mom tough to stomach at times throughout seasons 1&2. Helicopter parents can be difficult to manage, let alone be around for more than a few minutes.

My god I used to love this show so much, watched it about ten or so years ago. I used to be so jealous and want a horse so much, now, years later, I have my very own horse! I never thought it would happen, but I guess (as cheesy as this sounds) sometimes dreams do come true. I'm nineteen now and I hope there are more horses and other animals in my future. But this is the show that pretty much started it all.

As an adult now, I find myself siding with Lisa's mother beginning of episode 1. You must ALWAYS look before crossing a road! That is basic! The woman doesn't need to "learn how to drive", (disrespectful MUCH!?) they need to practice better riding safety! Stevie's bad temper and subsequent disrespect to an adult (who was in the right) would be good enough for me to tell my daughter to stay away from her. Bad influences breed bad ilk. And Parental supervision during a FIRST CLASS at a new facility with unfamiliar people is not unreasonable. (Although I am quite against the "I don't want her in beginner classes" stance. If your daughter is good enough, she'll prove it soon enough.) Stevie: "WE'vE MEt." No, no you haven't. You met - and disrespected - her mother. Lisa didn't do anything to offend you. Should have gone over rules with the New Student BEFORE starting the class. "We all make mistakes, Christy." - Someone decided to call the cell while she was in the middle of a lesson, and the instructor hadn't bothered to make sure she knew to not have a phone at the time. That's not a mistake; it's an unfortunate oversight.

They are both at fault but I do feel like Lisa's mom more at fault. There were warning sign to watch out for horses. Which means she should have started to slow down and she wasn't looking at the road. However the horse came out of nowhere, she wasn't even looking at the road. As for the cellphone, it should have been on silent or put away. That should have been common sense. Many workplaces and classes have the rule on no cellphone or if u do make sure its an silence. Yeah I agree Stevie and Carol were very mean to Lisa without giving her a chance.
