It's still a nice cruiser but somehow I am one of the minority to like more the Neptune. Somehow I got tone more fun with it than the Mino.

You're not the only one, I was really good in the Neptune, but I don't really get the Mino.

Neptune does have the heavier broadside, but you just can't compete with the turret traverse & reload of Mino. I do get the point though, and I usually prefer most Tier IX over some Xs

With Mino you can run the toxic radar build which is less viable on Neptune because of its worse concealment.

I thought launching torps when plane spotted, meant your torps were spotted from the very start, or was this changed recently? (I've not played for over a year)

Planes do not have the ability to spot torpedoes anymore, since a few months or even a year afaik

If my memory is corect, plane couldn't spot torp, no matter the distance. They changed that thing when they rework CV's.

I had lots of fun in the Leander and Fiji recently, so I was wondering i I should grind the Mino line. Then again, I have even more fun with the german cruisers. For some reason, it just seems very powerful

Tried the mino on the test server, she was a blast to play especially when you get the side of the bows of a bb, there you can do obscene amounts of damage in close range engagements though that should be your last resort, your optional single file tops is a nightmare to nose pushers of any class

Mino is so much fun but she's my worst ship win rate wise (sub 30%). I just can't find that sweet spot between concealment, cover and effectiveness. Plus the shells are super lofty.
