What I’d recommend a landlord is to choose an agency with kind competent people. So many agencies waste so much time of those interested in the property and keep it on the market longer than it needs to be out of their inability to provide enough information, virtual viewings, enough images of the whole property or too lazy to answer emails, phone calls or requests. Sometimes the landlord would be better off posting himself and paying an assistant than an agency.

Thank for the very informative video. What is the process after I have done viewings. Do I need to ask the tenant to send me notes of interest and then do checks? Could you recommend the notes of interest template? In Scotland holding deposits are not allowed as far as I understand. So what is the process after checks? Can I sign agreements and ask to pay deposit and first month of rent 2 weeks in advance before the entry day? Do I need to send invoice and receipt every month the rent was transferred to my account?

I would never use your-move again i sacked them twice I used them to let my house I had a problem with one tenant after they went and your-move didn't want to know and they was going to charge me £200 for doing nothing
