Pump actions are easy to fix. Jams easy to fix in a pump shotgun. If you gotta jam round that, don't wanna come out of the barrel, just take the butt of the barrel slamming on a table. And then it's fixed

If you haven't tried it you can do the push-pull techique on pump shotguns. Pull back with the shooting hand and and push forward with the other. It helps stabilize shots. I can see a difference, at least, with standard stock shotguns. I would theoretically think it would translate to pistol-grip ones also.
