I think his low damage is to balance cap's shield being able to deflect projectiles back to enemy. He'll get worse once range duelists learn to not shoot at cap on melee range.

@cupulate caps shield deflects in random directions though. It's a very low damage deflect 😔

I took cap and hulk in training and cap kills bots faster than hulk. This is comparing only their auto attack though

I’m a Cap main and bruh I swear you be having a good ass team, all I get is people who wanna DPS 24/7 and have one healer and everytime i have a another tank on my team I still have to do most of the work to keep pushing lmao it’s a struggle

Yeah there’s a lot of time spent waiting on his abilities because he so weak in the damage department so you can’t even do significant hits without a combo that burns all his resources

the problem with the shield cooldown is that he can animation cancel his melee attacks with shield. Its not like it would break him but if he had that they would have to consider that when balancing him forward and likely force them to hold back a bit knowing the potential of it

I think a smal buff cap can receive is make so that his shield throw gives you the empowered attacks that you would normally recieve by punching someone twice

Cap is great as long as your healers are good. If you have rando dps goons charging in by themselves, dying solo, healers nowhere in sight, then cap can feel bad.

Everyone who’s trying to play Cap, notice how he’s constantly turning OFF the sprint when he’s attacking. It’s small but helps a lot, it does require a lot of button pressing tho.

I went from not getting kills with cap to being mvp half the time. I had to rearrange his keybinds, on controller his abilities are set up so weird. Got them how I like and started playing to push people off objectives and its so much more fun as cap now

As a Cap main, his shield cooldown is absolute bs and needs to be removed entirely, and his cooldowns are a little annoying. Plus, his dash is terrible.

No lol… if he didn’t have it he would just be able to weave autos with his shield deflection. That would make him to strong. He’s already an A tier in the right hands. I believe they just need to give him an extra 100 hp for shield health will help all levels of play improve with Cap.

thats an unhinged take. cap american once he's in your face is so oppressive. couple that with a shield up with no cooldown between m1s isn't balanced at all. so no the current shield cooldown is fine. this is coming from a cap america main..

You Basically want to dip in and out fights with cap. Just make yourself really annoying but yes you do want to go for flanks and target the one who plays back and take them by surprise, distracting their healers will bring massive value to your team.

Every second, you are on top of healers, and chasing them is another second their team is not getting healed. Dive in, bash a little bit, dash out. If your dps is good, they use the opportunity to pick off the tanks and enemy dps

I don't get why they live so much through damage, it was probably the Jeff but it's crazy how you could hit Cloak and Dagger for like 30 min and it would not die. Also, I think the Cap is kinda underpowered right now, he needs a tweak at least on his ult.

As a cap player myself i must complain Pll dont usually capitalize on the dives u do in solo q Even if u tell them too I hav jumped in back line and out leaving pll at 10% hp When my dps can't kill their backline i jump and my team says im trolling.

imagine that i had over 400 hours in overwatch and i sucked at every tank, then i watch one of your videos of cap and i win every time i pick him (still i’m not a tank player). like, one game i had a guy who was requesting a second tank or refusing to play at all so i picked cap and won with 13/1 - although i had quite little damage, about 6k but high mitigation like 20k. what i’m trying to say is that you made his kit look very simple through your gameplay. i’m looking forward to more hero practices like this one 😅

I must say that I still hope that they increase a bit, just a bit, his damage. If you play with a Thor you have a very good damage, but depending on a another character for having that extra damage is a bit sad considering how fun it is to play him and having to expect someone else play Thor. I am not saying that you need to improve that much of his damage, but I think his passive that throws the shield should damage a bit more. I did not play him as much as you @TheSauceBoss, but I have my 8 hours with him already 😅. I would really enjoy to know your opinion on the small adjustments that you think could improve him (not making it broken, of course). Huge fan from your Zen in OW 😊

Appreciate that. Thank you for the continued support! I think his dash needs looked at personally. 30 damage, long cd and doesn't really move you too far. Whether it's adding more damage or reducing the cooldown idc really. I think that's a good start!

Tanks are not meant to do DPS. Cap is great where he's at. He can make people just a bit squishier for his teammates to cleanup and he has, IMO, the best survivability of all the characters in the game. He is constantly in your face and disrupting everything.

@@heatnup he's not great where he's at Cap is for sure on the weak side. He doesn't need to do as much damage as the DPS heroes but as is his damage output is pitiful and deffo needs a tweak, not a big one but it does need adjusting.

i feel his punches are fine but his slam and dash do pitiful dmg, they should increase the dmg on those. also id be nice if his dash displaced enemies like thors, the amount of time ive try to dash away only to be stop by someone just standing around its unreal.

I'd say make the shield toss primary permanent, reduce the cooldowns to either 10 or 8 seconds and cap is honestly fine
