Well Kyle, for a almost out of the box build, looks amazing 😉, I ask him ones to do some wiring on his builds, time to pay of, and he did a great job on that, you have to see some extreme build and you'll see what I mean, I like his job, that why I'm still watching his videos, very helpful when I start on the hobby, thanks for the comment bro...keep up the great work... this is an awesome community...

@kylesagun1567 жыл бұрын
Ignaz Kevenaar I'd say that chrome effect is more subtle than kit chrome, kit chrome was never right, that's why so many people strip the chrome just to spray chrome over it
@IgnazKevenaar7 жыл бұрын
Absolutely! That's why I like it so much. It has the deep, dark, thin, almost aggressive appearance. Not the blotchy plastic kit chrome. Absolutely beautiful.

I was also wondering about the Alclad Klear Kote. A lot of people on KZbin say that it will dull the chrome finish down slightly. They say that it is better to use it on larger surface areas to protect the paint. My question is, should I bother using it on smaller engine parts like the header? They look great the way they are, but I haven't used any klear kote. Thx, Mac

Michael McNeive if it is a part that you will be touching a lot during the build. Clear it. If not. Don't bother. Though it doesnt hurt

After almost dying from an over cleaner event yrs ago I wont use it. Ive found gel bleach is my new best friend. It will strip chrome and leave a super shiney pc after. Im so surprised how much detail is copied then lost when they chrome parts. Just normal laundry bleach works great. I use the no spash thick bleach anyway.

David Best that all depends on the paint you use and how warm it is. With zero paints in a couple hours. Other brands advice 24 hours. I would read the label for drying times

The Scalemodeling Channel I was getting a rough coat from the airbrush. Turns out I was spraying in an enclosed area..the paint would dry and land on my project.
@boxbuyer20087 жыл бұрын
The Scalemodeling Channel to answer your question. I use 2 to 3 thousand grit to smooth.
@feldon277 жыл бұрын
Too much thinner or spraying too far will give you the rough finish.

Good afternoon Scale modeler, I just received my distributor from Scale Production and I drilled a small hole so the distributor will sit in place better and all looks good. So now I'm looking at the coil and thinking what a pain in the butt it's going to be to run a wire to that little thing! So my question is, did you bother to run a wire to your coil or did you just let it go? It's hard to tell by just watching the video. And if you did do it, how did you do it? Did you drill a small hole in the coil? Thx, Mac
@TheScalemodelingChannel7 жыл бұрын
+Michael McNeive i did not do it. However if you would. I would like you say just drill a small hole in it and glue it in

Nice job Tom, as usual !... Two questions : you no longer use your 0.4 mm needle ? You can spray Alclad Chrome either with Acrylic Gloss Black ou Enamel Gloss Black ?
@TheScalemodelingChannel7 жыл бұрын
I do still use a 0,4 mm needle. For primer and clear. For color i now use a 0,2. Mainly becouse i have a new airbrush and also got a fresh new needle with it. My old one was bent a bit and did not spray very well anymore. Acrylic should be ok, asl long as it is actual acrylic and not an acrylic enamel mix, my advice would be to use an alclad base to be safe.
@McNeive10007 жыл бұрын
How deep do you recommend drilling the holes in the distributor? Thx,Mac
