This is sad. I went to LOI when it was still the Middletown Haunted Trail (before rebranding and expanding) and featured only Dr. Psychos and Temple. It was much scarier and more tonally diverse then. For example, Psycho's featured more animatronics and was an homage to Phantasm and Dr. Tickles -- neo gothic. Temple was straight up gothic but featured more suspenseful buildups to the large creature reveals. And performances focused on sneaking up on you in the dark, inserting into your group, whispering to you. Killer Klowns was originally themed to KK from Outer Space and was a much more faithful and fun adaption than the shite at HHN. No dead spaces in any house. Ever! ...Unfortunately LOI has precipitously dropped in quality ever since its operating company's focused on year round entertainment. Less attention to developing new ideas and the past concepts are just rearranged across the 6 houses which all resemble each other.... I WILL say the actors here really care... probably the most out of any event. They need better delivery, sure. But I know they do it cuz they love it. They just need a better platform.

I went to a haunted house and it had a lot of scary stuff. Then Thay came out and make your dance with them.. and then you go through more scary stuff....🥰🤣🤣🤣😂😂👀it was fun 😊❤️

There should be a haunt actor handbook that says no screaming “get out” or other cheesy phrases. Come on guys 🙄 be original! They should all watch the actors from either Dent school house or Netherworld. I love watching y’all go through these though cause after Netherworld I’m traumatized and can’t do haunts anymore 😂 I had a legitimate panic attack…which I actually thought I was having a heart attack. You know how there is fight, flight or freeze.. well I froze and couldn’t move and had to get taken out this hidden side door and told that maybe I shouldn’t come back lmao 😂 they NEVER break character at netherworld but one of the actors even said umm are you good..? I was in fact.. not good lol

Oh no! So sorry that happened to you. Although the goal IS to get scared, is usually within reason. Glad one of the characters recognized you were having trouble - that's one of the only exceptions for breaking character, IMO. Maybe you'll be able to make it to a less-scary haunt again someday? :)
