Love Jader's approach to the game! It's shining through that he's just so happy to be here. And he's obviously putting in the work. It was an unlucky spin, but I also believe those were some relatively hard questions. Looking forward to seeing him play again! Tom is just great and it was a nice change to have Jenn on the desk. She's great at it and considering that she'll get even better (she constantly improves, just watch her older stuff and compare it to her most recent work), we're all in for a treat. :-)

Love seeing Jenn on the desk! Tom was really strong again. The knowledge is absolutely there; assuming Erwin beats Zip, we'll see once and for all if Tom's character gets in the way of him being a championship level player. Jader has some real skill for sure. 20 points in a singles match is nothing to sneeze at. I'd love to see Jader in the faction of a Winston, Shannon, or even Coy to best mold his skills for him to make a leap in his second season.

Miscommunication could’ve doomed Tom in that first round. I feel like as a general rule if two people have different answers and they’re both initially called as correct you gotta take a shot on the challenge there. I think they would’ve got it and it would’ve been a 2 point swing.

loved seeing this match but the hands showing rule just needs to be there or not, ik its part of toms character to be like huddled in a small place but his hands (and jaders tbf) shouldve been asked for especially when its been mentioned repeatedly in the past few matches. Also BIG TAKEAWAY is that announcers need to take possible challenges serioiusly from characters who may not be as affirmative with putting them forward. The exact same situation that happened here in rd1 with TOM also happened in the bateman v ghai match where ghai's attempt to challenge wasn't even considered they didn't ask 'do you wanna consult with your manager?' like they normally would etc. , idk just a few thoughts. Great seeing Jenn on the main show again tho :))

It doesn’t matter. The manager has to challenge. It’s not an official challenge until the manager ratifies it, so it was on Kate to recognize that Tom was challenging.

Nice to hear them talk about The Looney Bin a little, still miss that team and hope they get back together in the future. They were perfect together. Bad managing on Kate's part when she didn't challenge the Sin City question, Tom clearly disagreed with Jader getting it right SMH. Why not challenge? Apologizing for not challenging it later on doesn't do anything. Anyway, good match and congrats to Tom! He will most likely face Ethan next and man, I can't wait for that match. It will be another match I wish both could win but Tom is so fun to watch, he's a trip lmao.

I was pulling for Tom, and am happy he won. He was particularly amazing in round 2. That Mel Gibson reporter steel was a super deep cut! However, I think Kate is being too hard on herself. Tom should've challenged the Sin City question himself. He is allowed to do that (with Kate ratifying) so the blame ultimately lies on him in that circumstance. He also should've used a JTE if he didn't hear that Kevin Hart question. You have 3 of them for a reason. Not taking away from his win at all. Just saying that the first round debacle isn't really Kate's fault...

@outsidelookinginprod4 жыл бұрын
He did. But Kate is the one who has to “ratify” the challenge. Tom was staying in character but it was clear he was challenging the answer Jader gave and Kate as the manager was supposed to jump in and make the challenge official. And she was beating herself up about it because she knows she made a mistake. She has to get her act together because she is making these managerial mistakes a lot this season and she can actually lose her players. I get the feeling that Tom was very frustrated for the rest of the game because of his manager letting him down in that moment. He just hid it relatively well by staying in character.
@bsbgirl854 жыл бұрын
I've noticed that too about Kate that she won't jump in when her competitor is questioning a decision. As a manager your supposed to be ON IT when that happens and discuss it with your player. That's not a good quality for a manager, thankfully Tom is an amazing player that can hold his own but he definitely needs to keep that in mind cause that could make or break a match. I wouldn't want him to possibly lose a match cause of some bs like that.

Glad a miscommunication in Rd1 didn't cost Tom the match. I honestly think waiting for Managers to challenge can be a real detriment especially if players want to more strongly challenge something. Not sure that Tom couldn't just do that, but I also don't know what the reasoning behind Managers issuing challenges is in the first place. Jader played a heckuva game though. Anybody who gets sadled with Opponent's choice on the second spin is pretty much guaranteed to lose. The smart play is to give them what they spun away from on the 1st spin. However, wouldn't take it out of the game. Spinner's and Opponent's choice are really fun elements of the game and something I wish Star Wars had despite the limited number of movies. It brings a necessary level of understanding your opponent and strategy to the game.

Robert Rodriguez was director of Sin City... Tarentino and Miller were guest directors. If they would count so should 2nd unit, and other directors as well. Main is all you need. Glad that challenge didn't get made because a lot of bad challenge decisions have been made lately.
@outsidelookinginprod4 жыл бұрын
No Frank Miller was not a guest director. He was a co-Director. He was on set with Robert Rodriguez throughout the entire production and the movie clearly is credited as directed by Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller. I guess you could say Quentin Tarantino doesn’t need to be mentioned, but even that name is credited. You can’t make the comparison to second unit directors. Those names are buried in the credits. Frank Miller and Tarantino are prominently mentioned in marketing and on the main credits. Edit: look at the poster itself. Search Sin City on IMDb and click on the image of the poster. Bottom right, under the title, Directed by Robert Rodriguez & Frank Miller, Special Guest Director Quentin Tarantino. Then look at the credits at the bottom: Directed by Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez. Frank Miller was a co-director. Not only should they have challenged it, but Mark should not have accepted the answer of Robert Rodriguez. No challenge should have been needed because the answer desk should have already made the correct call.

As far as I remember, Frank Miller was very involved, but wasn't allowed to get director credit because of union rules. Tarantino directed a single scene. In the end, Rodriguez is the credited director, so that should be the answer.
@FinalLevelBoss4 жыл бұрын
@@outsidelookinginprod You are 100% correct. I remember seeing all the cool posers and trailers back when Sin City came out. Aside from Robert Rodriguez, Millers names is right there next to his as director. This isn't a 2nd unit situation.
