As I am sure that many people notice, a lot of retired fighters, even very good ones and great ones, unfortunately have slurred speech although the press often does not comment on it until it becomes very advanced. It can sometimes only become serious many years after a fighter has retired. I have read that Lewis often plays chess, hoping that by keeping his mind very active, he might be able to avoid the symptoms of obvious brain damage. George Foreman, although in his seventies also still sounds good. He also tries to exercise his brain to avoid slurred speech. I have read that he would do things such as spelling words backwards in hopes that it would help keep his mind and speech in good shape.

Rahman ran from a rematch and had to get sued before he got back in the ring with Lewis. Riddick Bowe threw his belt in the trash to avoid facing Lewis. Does that sound like a weak chin to you? @@djo-dji6018 His opponents weren’t the best but they certainly better than what Mike Tyson faced in the 80s

Lennox was such a great fighter. I have to hold my nose every time I hear know nothings go on about how great Tyson was.

Lennox Lewis and Mike Tyson. It's going to take a lot of years and a lot of boxers to compared to them two guys they are just two of the greatest ever and my two favorite

Lennox Lewis was a great fighter, its unbelievable what he achieved. I hope in the coming years he gets more recognition. Mike has always had that iconic status, and for good reason, but it can put other great fighters of the past in the shade a bit. I'd like to see a biopic about Lennox. He must have been the most avoided heavyweight of all time?

@xsunflxwerlol941 yep Lewis was ducking Mitch Green his whole career, good one 🤣

@xsunflxwerlol941 Holyfield and Tyson were old, but Evander still had a bit left. Tyson was done, pointless fight so agree there. Lewis fought young guys in their prime, Tua, Shannon Briggs and most notable vitali klitschko, all dangerous. Even Golota was coming of those Bowe ass kicking's. Ruddock as well, coming off those decent Tyson fights.

@xsunflxwerlol941 you can discredit any fighter like that, the fact is Lewis can only fighter who is there in his era. he was ducked by Bowe, Holyfield and Tyson in 96. this is documented fact. I'm a bigger fan of Tyson, Holyfled and even Bowe but fact is fact mate. regards

@xsunflxwerlol941 There is nothing to turn around mate, Lewis chased Bowe who threw the WBC title in a bin to avoid facing him, he chased Holyfield until 1999 when finally he got him in the ring, he chased Tyson in 96 who paid Lewis millions to step aside. go look it up mate, I'm trying to help your boxing education as you don't want to be looking like a fool now do you. regards.

The 90's could have been the best hw era ever if Tyson hadn't gone crazy. Lennox, Evander, and Mike are three of the best ever but somehow we never got to see them at their best against another... Love to all three...

Wow, I grew up watching him box in the 80's and 90's. He looks so young except for the white beard. That's amazing.

Just imagine back in the days of Jack Johnson, Jack Dempsey, Joe Louis, Rocky Marciano, Sonny Liston and Muhammad Ali, to be the undisputed champion was STANDARD. It was the norm.
