Thank you for the instructional video. I am a new shooter and just started 3 months ago. Now I have my wife and 2 daughters (ages 12 & 13 yo) shooting on Sunday mornings at our club in The Everglades in Florida. We are shooting with a Remington 1100, 870 and a Mossberg 500 which I picked up for at affordable prices. I am watching your videos and picking up tips to help me get to 25/25, I am currently at 13/25. Look forward to more shooting tips for beginners!

Very good. We shoot DTL here in France in all the regional comps. Great fun. Locally we only shoot ten clays in a set and move from each point (down the line) after every clay.

Seeing you miss TWICE at 6:16 makes me feel infinitely better than even a grandmaster such as yourself is indeed human (and doesn't edit out misses)

Very good. Thanks. An intro to other disciplines would also be interesting.

Great Video , I have a Question do you follow through on pulling the trigger and lose sight of the clay or is the clay always in view on pulling the trigger would appreciate help as I have trouble with consistency and Struggling to to see what am doing wrong .
@TSCTheshootingchannel3 жыл бұрын
see it, shoot it. Easier said than done. I would say give David a ring in the shop he will ask the right questions and give you the right answers 01844 238308 - Best Wishes , Alex

Nice information, will the clay come out at any angle on each of the 5 stands
@borjastick4 жыл бұрын
Yes which is why you need to do as he said about the angle at which you point. His advice is for right handers the opposite would be the case for a lefty.

Is there a minimum barrel length to shoot trap?
@rolandkee335 Жыл бұрын
I don’t think the ATA specifies one, but your club may require nothing under 26”, for example. Even 28” is rather short for Trap and most clubs are full of 30”, 32”, and even 34” guns.
@markcatherall84604 жыл бұрын
Does your score change if you have to shoot with the second barrel
@TSCTheshootingchannel4 жыл бұрын
Yes it does Mark, its 3 points for first barrel then down to 2 points for the second barrel.

What are the preferred chokes for dtl?
@12butchos Жыл бұрын
I'd suggest 3/4 and full. 1/2 and 3/4 may be ok to start off with but once you start hitting 290+ you'll want to know that a miss isn't because one slips through the pattern.
@stevej7344 Жыл бұрын
1/2 and 3/4 is more then enough

Am i at a disagdvantage using 24gr loads against a 28gm load 1250fps for dtl??

No 👍

Why is he shooting that bird with 2 shells he wasn’t shooting doubles.

In a dtl comp it’s 3 points for a first barrel kill and 2 points for a second barrel kill
@jamesyurky30483 жыл бұрын
Unload the gun when walking between stations, also that’s a crude trap house, the arm of the trap should be the same level as the walk way
@12butchos Жыл бұрын
No need under UK rules until you move from peg 5 round to 1 as you go behind other shooters
@Procharged32 Жыл бұрын
Gun mounts really low like a sporter shooter😂
@avocado97633 жыл бұрын
Why do you shoot 12 gauge? I shoot 28 gauge because I find 12 gauge guns heavy and clumsey. I don't mind recoil but I like a gun that swings easily. Thanks
@12butchos Жыл бұрын
The stability of the heavier gun is an advantage with DTL. A consistent smooth line is more important than speed.
