Thank you so much for introducing me to this app. Going to watch your second video and subscribe! Have you sold anything yet?

I have not won a lot yet. I tried many times and wasn’t successful so I sort of put it on the back burner. But I plan to revisit that now that I am a paraplegic.

@@TheScottCottage I just watched your most recent video. The first one I ever saw from you was about Flyp and then I subscribed. I had no idea what happened. I will subscribe to your Instagram. My heart sank when I saw the video. I just thought you hadn’t posted a video in a while. Thinking of you and sending strength and hugs to you virtually.

Is it only available on iPhone? I don't see it in the app store on my Android.

It might be let me reach out to the company and find out for you

@@AmberResells Yes. I applied online then found out you can only get the app on iPhone. So it's a no go for me.

ah that is a bummer! The app itself is only a year old and I believe they are still making changes. Hopefully android will be added soon!

Ok he got back to me and he said they are rolling out the app in Jan/Feb!

hate this app- they purposely only let you do things through the app so you miss the small print- just had a seller sell a brand new Valentino for $50 - The fall is FLYP because she didn't know it was Authentic because they did not do their job- they ask me to send in my receipts which id did and then got a reply what are these
@TheScottCottage3 жыл бұрын
Oh really? I never won a lot and I haven't tried since end of last year.
@raquelchapa97563 жыл бұрын
@@TheScottCottage it was more FLYP they did not send her the proof of authentications I sent them- the backward way they have things set up some info on the app some through email a bit through the website everyone else has an app and website that sync

Yes I have not won a lot to be completely honest. I am always transparent and I kind of gave up trying to win a lot. I am currently in a rehabilitation center for a spinal cord injury but I will be back next month. Then I will start up reselling again. I have been out of the game since February and I miss it so much!

@@TheScottCottage oh wow, well I hope you get well soon. I actually won a box last week. Still waiting on it to arrive. Check me out on @ssarahs_ssales on Instagram, I just started the page but hoping to do an unboxing video there when I receive it.

Looking forward to the follow up. I don't understand how people would make money. If you take a "50% commission" you're actually only make a 30% commission on Poshmark. Right?
@TheScottCottage3 жыл бұрын
Yes you are correct. And that’s why I don’t really bid on items unless I can make a certain amount. I try to look for lord where I can sell each individual item for $50 or more. Or your right. It’s not worth it in my opinion. I hope that makes sense ❤️Thanks so much for watching!

Im a bit confused so if we set our commission to resell at 50% but we sell on poshmark and they take 20%, are we getting the 50%after whats left after poshmark takes their cut? So it the item sells for$50 do we get $20 and the client gets $20, since our profit is $40, or is the client expecting to get 50%of the cut before posh fees, so they would get $25 which leaves the reseller with $15? Thanks
@TheScottCottage3 жыл бұрын
Yes so if you do 50% commission and Poshmark takes 20% so your just left with the 30%. That’s why it’s important to maybe come up with a price point that is the lowest you would sell for. I would only pick items in lots that would make you X amount in profit. I can’t honestly say how that goes because I have not won a lot yet. I have been trying other ways to source. I hope this helps somewhat!

Any advice on an average mom looking to sell some name brand kid’s clothes. Perfect condition. Not a ton all at once. I’d prefer to pay someone to sell my clothes. Not bc I’m lazy, but for some personal reasons. I’m doing my research.
@TheScottCottage3 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately kids clothing does not resell well in my experience. The best way to sell would be in bundles with like sizes. Like 5 tops. 3 pants. Same brands would be best grouped together. If you want someone else to sell you would be better off taking to a consignment store. I dont know how you could find someone like me to resell them for you in your area. I do consignment in my area actually. I come to their house and go through the stuff. Offer a price.
@resonatejoy69073 жыл бұрын
Hey you can try Kidizen they specialize in kids clothes and if you want someone to sell them for you they have what are called style scouts where they will match you with someone in your area
@ceeemkay75333 жыл бұрын
@@TheScottCottage how do you go about advertising in tour community that you offer consignment for individuals? Do you have flyers, or cards? How do you suggest starting that kind of a sourcing strategy to get into someones home to do consignment for them, and what commission do you suggest for this method or do you just outright buy the items to sell from their home? Thank you
@TheScottCottage3 жыл бұрын
I start with friends. I made a little spiel about how it works, what brands I am looking for. Explain its consignment prices I can offer but I come to them. Many people preferred the drop off option. They would drop off tons of stuff. I would go through it all and offer a price for what I wanted to keep. Offered to donate what I couldn’t use if they wanted to. It went well!
