Great advice Devin. I use all the leaves in my yard to protect my roses from frost, covering the whole root system with them. Most of my roses are in containers. I use burlap around the pots as well for extra protection. Temps here in Washington in the winter can dip into the teens. Thanks for your great videos.

I’m behind schedule this year. Glad I received this notice as I need to get my tulip bulbs in the ground. I buy so many potted tulips in the spring and then plant in the fall. Great video!

@@fransak2723 I think it's been raining there. We're in CT and have a red flag warning but rain is forecast for Thursday. I'm going to do a rain dance, I'll let you know how it goes.

@@janetconnors4591 I live about 40 minutes west of West Chester. We’ve had a couple of light rains in the last week or so but it is still very dry. Many red flag warnings around here too.

I enjoyed watching this video. Your property is lovely. I have a question concerning a volunteer japanese maple tree sapling that is now about 2 ft. tall, and growing in a flower pot on my patio. I want this tree to survive, and am wondering if I should let it over winter in the pot, and then transplant into the ground next spring, or should I lift it from the pot now, and plant directly into the ground. Your opinion will help me to decide how to handle this matter. Thanks, Devin.

Plant it now!! This is by far the best time to do so
