Challenge 8:48 solution - I saw its solution, to move the steel ball through the sand to the other end of tube just orient the tube vertically so that the steel ball remains in lower part of the tube and you will notice that steel ball get buried under the sand, now wiggle (move up and down) the the tube up down in vertical position gently and you will notice after approx. 15-20 moves the ball will appear on the top and you got the ball to the other side of tube. The phenomena that occurring here is called Brazil nut effect... its awesome phenomena The Brazil Nut Effect in this case - as you move the tube up and down vertically in a rapid motion, the sand grains around the steel ball get under the steel ball by gravity and steel ball almost remains in its place cause of inertia and as you repeat this step 15-20 times (depends on length of tube, in this case acc. to me 15-25 moves are enough) the sand grains constantly get under the steel ball by the small space between tube and steel ball surface and further all of the sand get under the steel ball leading to the apperance of our precious steel ball at the top of the tube. Also watch some educational videos of brazil nut effect on youtube, you will get more clarity. Thank you :)

I can't get enough of your videos! I'm always surprised and delighted. I think you may have forgotten to mention the spoon is made from low-temperature melting Gallium. Keep up the great work!

Easy, you just turn up the tube, the ball will float over the sand, becaus within granular media the bigest objects goes up, or more precisely, the smalles objets always find a wat to go down
