With some thought and planning, making multiple dishes can still be fairly simple. Happy Sunday! 💕

Hey Flo! I hope you guys are doing awesomely well. I made a meal for my family that included your hot and sour soup recipe. My nephew (PICKY EATER) came and DEVOURED multiple bowls, and when asked what he liked most about it, he stated that he liked "all the bushes and plants" in it. Let me tell you, we lost it. Thank you so very much for a recipe that a child will go for with gusto. Peace and blessings!

Pouring the egg through a sieve would produce a nice steady stream af egg so that if you stir while pouring nice ribbons will form.

Hi Flo, luv your videos. Learned a lot. I especially appreciate the extra food safety info, ie, wash the gai lan in salt water to get rid of bugs etc. suggestion, if you cooked these four dishes in one go, it would be nice to see all the dishes served on a table set up for a Chinese meal. So non-Chinese can see how a Chinese dinner served at home looks like.

😮My chefs hat off to you! This dish looks savory & inviting to my palate. A comfort food staple, beef stew/beef tips. I’m not a vegan but, I might need to give this one a try. Sometimes with meat/protein substitutes it’s mind over matter to will into existence a flavor profile. If your palate is similar to mine, you just may have convinced me. It all looks ravishing. 🧐😋❤

Hi Flo! “I’m just going to bash it”….(the Ginger) then it’s huge “thumb” comes off. I must be getting weird in my old age, I thought that was so funny. 😊 That soup! 😋 I wish I had some now. We re-grow our green onions also. Hey, if it saves a bit and it’s good, so be it. The wings look so tasty also. Oh my goodness. I’ve never had Mapo Tofu. Looks good. Spicy! I’d love some of the beef dish too! Wow. You’ve gone all out. All in all what a treat for a weekend family meal. Homemade so you know exactly what’s in the food! It’s so great to see you again. God Bless you and yours and thank you! - Dude- you’re a lucky man. 😊 Btw: I really like your hair! I like it both ways but I really like the longer version. The color is so pretty.

Flo, don't forget soup. I grew up in a Cantonese family where along with multiple dishes and rice, there was always a Cantonese soup served with every meal, usually a Chinese old fire soup.

Don't stir fried white taufu together with mince meat. Steam the whole cut white taufu in plate and pour away water after steam. After stir fried the mince meat with oyster sauce and onion diced, pour on top white taufu. Toppings with chopped fried garlic or shallots and chopped green onion.

Mushroom is just a fancy word for fungus. 😉 This black fungus really just adds a crunchy texture without a lot a flavour.
@annn8389 Жыл бұрын
Hi Flo, rumor has it that the black fungus helps to get rid of impurity in the blood. I honestly don't know how but it adds crunch to the dish and I love it!
@marystrope1345 Жыл бұрын
Mushrooms are a fungus 🙄🤣
@gelwood99 Жыл бұрын
Technically it is a different fungus than a mushroom, more like a jelly-like substance growing on a dead limb or tree trunk in the woods.

Hi guys I am from South Africa , can you tell me what is tofu
@telebubba5527 Жыл бұрын
It's a soybean "cheese". Usually quite soft and doesn't have much taste on it's own. It's more a filler to make a dish stretch further. You can also deep-fry it and give it a crust on the outside, I tend to like that more as it is much more sturdier and is also beter in holding flavours. I was actually thinking of that with the Mapo Tofu. Just deep-fry it before adding it to the pork mixture.

I hate tofu! What else can you use instead?
@telebubba5527 Жыл бұрын
For the Mapo tofu I would deep-fry the cubes first. That would give it some texture and bite. Otherwise I don't see the need either.
